Chapter 7

1500 Words
Jhie’s POV I woke up feeling sore and aching all over my body. It felt like I had been beaten up by five different people. The pain was worst between my legs, in my most private area. It felt like I had been r***d by more than three men. Well… I was r***d. By just one man. But that one man was completely crazy and obsessed with me. Looking at him, he was actually handsome and had a great body. He could easily have any woman he wanted, and they would willingly go to bed with him without him having to use force. In fact, women would probably throw themselves at him if he just asked. But why did he have to choose me? What is this? Did he just pick me because I was a challenge or something? He’s handsome, yes… but he’s a total psychopath! I screamed inside my head in frustration. I tried my best to sit up, but it was too difficult. So I just leaned back against the headboard, still wrapped in the blanket to cover my naked body. I took deep breaths and tried to relax, hoping it would ease the pain before I tried moving again. I really needed to go to the bathroom. I badly needed to pee and I also wanted to take a shower. But I couldn’t do any of that because every movement hurt so much. “What kind of life is this? What exactly did you do to me, you monster? Look at what happened to me,” I muttered angrily to myself. How was I supposed to go to work looking and feeling like this? I was scheduled to work the whole day today, too. My thoughts were interrupted when I glanced at the clock on the bedside table. “Oh my God! It’s already two o’clock in the afternoon?! What am I going to do about my job? I slept until the afternoon. My co-workers and my boss must be wondering where I am and why I didn’t show up. I even told them I was on duty the whole day today,” I said to myself, panicking. “You don’t need to work from now on,” a voice suddenly spoke from the doorway. I didn’t even notice he was already standing there. I had no idea where he came from because I didn’t hear the door open at all. It was like he had read exactly what was going through my mind. “I’ve been standing here for a while just watching you. Do you want to take a bath? I’ll help you,” he offered. I panicked. I couldn’t let him come near me. What if he does the same thing he did last night? I shook my head frantically, raising one hand to stop him, signaling that he was not allowed to come any closer. “Don’t you dare come near me!” I shouted at him. Jake was surprised when I yelled that loud, but he quickly recovered. He continued walking toward me anyway. “I already prepared a warm bath for you. It will help ease the pain all over your body, especially your sensitive parts. Soak yourself in the water for a while.” I didn’t say a word. I just stared at him with so much hatred and anger in my eyes. But he didn’t care what I thought or felt. He did whatever he wanted. He lifted me up gently and carried me to the bathroom, then slowly placed me down inside the bathtub. After that, he fixed my hair, tying it neatly at the back of my head so it wouldn’t get wet. He poured soap into the water and started rubbing it all over my body. I just watched him do everything. Why should I even pretend to be shy or act like this bothers me? He already took the one thing I treasured most, even though I fought back with everything I had. Why would I resist now when it’s already gone? Is it just because of how soft his touches feel under the water? I thought to myself. It was true. No matter what I did or how hard I cried, I could never take back what he had already stolen from me. So the best thing I could do now was just play along with whatever he wanted, so I could find an opportunity to escape as soon as possible. “Just stay there and soak. I’m just going to prepare our lunch,” he instructed me, then leaned down and kissed me on the lips before standing up to leave. I ignored him completely. I was too busy thinking of ways to get away from him. I couldn’t stay in this house a moment longer than necessary. I closed my eyes and let the warm water relax my aching muscles. After soaking for almost an hour, I felt much better. The pain had lessened a lot. I decided to rinse myself off and take a quick shower. When I was done, I stepped out of the bathroom. I walked toward the closet where he had shown me some clothes yesterday. I didn’t bother choosing anything fancy. I just grabbed the first set I saw hanging there. I had just finished putting it on when the bedroom door opened. He walked in—the man whose name I still didn’t know. He took everything from me, but I didn’t even have the slightest idea what to call him. “How are you feeling?” he asked, sounding genuinely concerned. “I’m fine,” I answered shortly. He nodded and walked closer to me. I felt awkward and shy under his intense gaze, so I looked away and took a step back. I heard him chuckle softly. I glanced back at him. “Don’t be shy, my future wife. You can barely even walk because of what I did to you last night, and here you are still acting all modest and shy,” he teased me. I raised an eyebrow and pouted at him. That jerk! He was actually making fun of me. I didn’t bother answering him. He could talk to himself all he wanted. “Come on, let’s eat. I cooked lunch for us, even if it’s already late. I know you must be starving.” “I don’t want to eat. I just want to go home,” I refused, even though my stomach was already growling loudly from hunger. His eyes narrowed dangerously. “What did you say?! I already told you, you are never going back to your old place. You are going to live here with me from now on!” he said angrily. “Just come downstairs and eat with me. Don’t make me mad, Jhie,” he added firmly before walking out of the room. I had no choice but to follow him down to the dining area. It was better to just do as he said; otherwise, he might make it even harder for me to escape. As soon as I smelled the food on the table, my stomach let out a loud rumble. I held my stomach and looked at him, feeling embarrassed. “Whoa! Sounds like there’s a hungry anaconda living in your stomach,” he teased me again. I rolled my eyes at him and sat down at the table. He served food onto my plate first, then filled his own. We ate in total silence. I didn’t know what to say or how to act. It was so awkward. After we finished eating, he cleared the table and washed the dishes. I didn’t offer to help him. I stood up and walked back toward the stairs to go up to my room and think of a plan to get away. But before I could climb the steps, I remembered something important and turned back to ask him. “Are my things here with you? Can I have them back? Especially my cellphone?” I asked immediately. “Yes, they’re here. But sorry, honey… I won’t be giving you your phone. You can have other things like your books and school materials, though.” My eyes widened in shock. I stared at him, completely stunned. I couldn’t believe he wouldn’t give me my phone! That was my only hope, the only way I could call for help. What am I going to do now? I thought to myself anxiously. “I know exactly what you’re thinking. You want to use your phone to call for help, right?” he said, walking slowly toward me. I felt my heart race nervously. "Remember this, Loraine… Every single thing you do is under my watch. I know every move you make. So don’t even bother trying to run away or ask for help. You’ll just end up exhausting yourself for nothing!” he snapped angrily, then left me standing there frozen in place.
