The man's name was Edward Casper and he was a billionaire. He ended up buying the artwork. Amara could not believe that she had become a millionaire just within a few hours. Quentin looked at them with a suspicious eye. His Amara had fallen for the billionaire. Edward seeks out Amara after the art show, introducing himself and expressing his admiration for her art. Amara is surprised by the billionaire's interest, but they begin to talk and she finds herself intrigued by him. They seem to know each other. Edward seems to think she's beautiful. She is, in her way. He's not a bad-looking guy. She's a bit shy, though, which she is not used to being around. When she asks about his family, he says he doesn't have any. Oh, I am sorry, she replied innocently. She asks if he's rich. "I'm not rich, no, I guess I'm just a billionaire." He smiles. *He's probably a lot of things, she thinks, a little bit arrogant, maybe a tad arrogant. Maybe a wee bit insecure. A little insecure and a little a. Then he laughs. "I have a great family. My father is the president of one of those companies you've been to. That's my brother, my sister, and three kids. One's an adult. Two are married, and two are in college." That was the kind of answer she expected at first. She's a bit more reserved than I expected. Not a hint of a personality. She doesn't seem to like him very much. She felt that Edward is a man who has been in the business a very long time. His father was an artist, and his grandfather a lawyer according to what he said. So he's seen a fair share of people, from all over the world, in all sorts of circumstances, all kinds of situations. She has a feeling he'll be able to tell her a good story. "I have a brother who works in an oil refinery. He says, *I've seen his work, too, that's why I'm interested in him. You know, the way he draws, or the colors, how he does his colors. That's what I want to talk to you about." She nods, not understanding what he means. " He's got a daughter, I don't know if she's in school or not, who is very beautiful. He says his daughter is a model. *I'm sure she is, that's how she looks, her face, everything, like a doll. A little doll. He pauses, "Well if you like, we can meet up with him and talk. You know. If you're free, of course." She smiles and says she would love to. Edward says it's fine with them, as well. He asks if he could take her back home. Amara humbly declined. I came here with my father and sister and I will go back with them. Amara said. Edward is also very handsome, in his way. Very good-looking. The more she sees him, even though he's not looking at her, the more and more, all these things are starting to fall into place. So, Edward, he's very rich. Very rich, very important. She's intrigued. What does he do? She asked herself. She decided to know about it so she asked him. So into their discussion, she finds out that he owns a company, the largest in the US, in fact, one that is the envy of every other company in existence, because it's the only one with a computer chip that is used to power a machine that makes a product that can be sold to people. That's what he does, sells computers, computers, and more computers. His company is called The World's Most Powerful Company. She was surprised about this because she never knew that Edward was and of course, she knew the owner. The company was a very big one. It looks like a huge, black-and-white picture of a building, like the inside of your own home. The Worlds Most Powerful Company is in this building? She thinks about it, then says "Yes." The building looks a bit like a giant, dark room, filled with machines and people and machines. Amara thinks it looks more like the inside of a factory, except there are no machines in there, only machines. Some machines make machines, machines that make more machines to make even more, making machines more and more... She thinks that the World's Most Power Company must be very big. She's never seen a building like that before, never heard of such a thing. A building that's so big, that it has a whole building full of machines? *It must make a profit, though she doesn't know exactly what that profit is, or how much money it "The company's name is "World's most powerful company", she says. "That's what they call themselves." It was already getting late. So Amara told him. You can just drop your number, I will give you a call later. Edward told her. He gave Amara his phone to input her number which she did. Alright, do well to give me a call she told him as she jogged off to their pickup van. Her sister, Connie gave her a funny look. He just asked for a number nothing else, Amara assured her. As they drove home, Connie kept thinking to herself her that day went. They had left their apartment just like any other common citizen and now they were returning to their house as millionaires. So miracles do happen. She was very excited but not as excited as Amara. Not only was Amara excited about the amount of income she got today she was also excited about her meeting Edward. He had taken her number and now she was expecting his call more than ever. Her dad was there congratulating her and telling her how he was proud of her. She kept on saying thanks to dad as she slowly drifted to sleep.
