Edward called Amara four days after the art show. Not surprisingly enough, Edward asked her out. This was not just any normal date because the venue for the date was something else. It was not in any normal restaurant or cinema or any other place but it was in Edward's private yacht. She was super excited.
Edward was to pick her up from her house by 11 am. He was there thirty minutes earlier. She dressed up in a blue flowing gown. The kind that is handless. She came out of the house when she sighted him. She thought she was going to see a Rolls Royce or a limo, or any other fancy car but what drove her to the house stunned her. He came with a personally customized sports car. In the front of the car was the insignia of his company. And it was painted with his face portrait.
You are looking gorgeous, Edward told her.
Thank you, you are also looking particularly looking charming, Amara complimented him.
As always, Edward replied.
Arrogance, Amara mumbled in her mind.
Her dad and mum came out to meet the man that was taking their daughter out.
Meet my parents, Amara told him.
Oh, where are my manners, Edward said and went over to meet her parents.
He greeted them and they shook hands.
While they were still talking, Connie went over to meet her big sister.
I would like to have a picture of you guys' first kiss, Connie said.
Amara laughed, don't you think it is a little bit still early for that? Amara replied.
I know it is still early but the way he looks at you it is as if he doesn't even care.
They laughed more.
Connie just turned sixteen years three weeks ago and she was already behaving like a grown adult. Connie was the only sibling Amara left. The first two that were born before Connie both died at childbirth and miscarriage respectively. When Connie was born, the family thought that she would also suffer the same fate but her cute smiling face was always a ray of hope. After the first week o childbirth and the second week and the third week and baby C, Connie was still hale and hearty they knew that this child was here to stay and till today she hardly complained of any health issues.
This was the reason Connie was very special to them. She was pampered and treated kindly. Although the pampering didn't get into her head. Amara herself was still twenty-four. She was still young.
They had barely finished laughing when Edward approached the car.
Shall we, he announced stretching out his hand so he could receive Amara's hand. In that fashion, he guided her into the backseat of the car.
The car itself was something else. It was a haven. It was beautifully decorated with flowers and the scent of the interior was alluring.
She wondered that despite his vast wealth, he did not hire any chauffeur, he drove by himself instead.
The almost silent engines of the vehicle were turned on. The car drove away as Amara waved to her family.
As the car moved on, Amara could not help but notice a little card sticking out from beneath the driver's seat. She picked it up. It was Edward's driving license. She took a glance at it and noticed the date of birth on the license. She marveled. By subtracting the date of birth written on the license from the current year she found out that Edward was forty-four years old. That is approximately twenty years older than her. Wow, the age gap was too much.
Edward invites Amara on a romantic first date whisking her away in his private yacht. Amara is swept off her feet by the billionaire's wealth and charm, but she can not help feeling a sense of unease about their age difference.
Edward's yacht is the largest private boat in New York City. It's a private jet that has a large private pool and an open deck. The yacht has two private cabins, one for the guests and one as a home for Edward and Amara. There is a second private cabin for himself.
She had been so nervous and unsure of herself. Edward was going to kiss her so she could feel the heat of him. Her heart was pounding in her chest and her body was trembling. What if he didn't kiss me? She thought. But she didn't want to let him go. She was afraid that he would kiss the girl that was so much more beautiful than she. That she would feel him, but she couldn't. And she knew it wouldn't last. So she waited and tried to be brave and she did.
I had to admit, that I really liked the idea now for the first time they started talking about having a family together.
"I'm going to have to ask you to stop talking," she said. They were sitting on opposite sides of a long table in a room with white walls, white linens, a chandelier, and a view of Manhattan. Amara sat on Edward's left and Edward sat on her right. Her eyes were on his lips as he leaned in for a kiss. It was like she wanted to touch him and feel his kiss on hers. But he had his hands on her and was kissing her like a man. And she knew that was what she needed. A man to kiss. Her eyes were wide and her lips were parted. This was the only thing she wanted.
I'm going back to my room, to sleep. There is no time for anything but sleep, so I can't even think about what happened. My head is pounding. It's like someone's head. But it's not. Not even close.
"You are so beautiful." His voice was soft, yet filled with emotion. As he spoke, his hands began caressing her shoulders, pulling her in, drawing her closer. Her eyes were now closed and her lips were parted. Her hands were still in his hair, her arms were wrapped around his shoulders and he could hear her breath. The way his mouth moved, felt so right and right. Like it had been meant for this moment. She's so beautiful, so soft. The words came out as a gasp. She was his Alpha, his mate, her life. She couldn't breathe. This was all too much. So much to take in at once. A kiss, a touch, everything. Everything.
"I'm sorry, my love." She whispered his name, her lips trembling as the tears began falling. The pain in her body was making the pain of his touch even more painful, it made the world around her feel like it wasn't her. A part of her wanted her to scream.
Amara did not know if she should continue her relationship with Edward, especially now that she is fully aware of their age difference.
As she thought about this, Edward emerged from his cabin.
Edward's eyes widened. They were the eyes of an angel and he had never seen anything like it, ever. This was the first time he felt anything close to that. She could feel the warmth of him, his hands, fingers, even the touch of them, it made her feel alive. He was holding a box, not a book, a gift. A gift that made him look like a god and a man she could love. Her eyes were drawn to his face, and her breath caught in her throat. This man was so much more than she had ever imagined, so many more things she wanted, he looked at her with eyes that could kill. And she didn't know how she would survive without him. But was she there for him just because of his wealth, she kept asking herself. She knew that her parents will never approve of this relationship if they found out about the age gap.
As she was still in thought he came out from his cabin.
"Cupcake, you okay"?
"Yeah, just I'm fine.
Why? You're not?" He asked her. It was her turn to be surprised, but she didn't show it, instead, looking at Edward with wide eyes and a shaking head. Edward was confused, "What do you mean? I don't understand. What are you saying? She was scared. Why is he here? She wanted to say something but her voice was gone.
She turned around and looked up at him. Her eyes met his, his were full of wonder, love, wonder. And something else, something she couldn't name, just knew was there, a look of pure, pure joy, of love, it filled his entire face as he stood and held out his hand to shake mine. Her heart was beating so fast, my palms were sweaty. But when he held it and said, "I'm here Alpha." She felt her knees weaken, all she could do was nod, her body shaking. The tears were falling down her cheeks, tears that she hadn't felt in a long time, they were tears of joy.
She looked down at her hand in his and she knew it had been there for a very long, very, long while, because he was holding her fingers in one hand and holding his other in hers, holding them so tight, his grip was as strong as it could be. Her heart was breaking and breaking, her body shaking, as she watched him and felt his touch.
She didn't know what to expect, what she was expecting. But she knew she wasn't expecting anything, that this man, would be the most amazing thing to ever happen to her life.
Isabella was standing in front of the gate of the world's most powerful company. The security men would not grant her entrance. This was not the first she was coming here. All she wanted to do was to see the manager as usual but in this case, her access was denied.
She tried dialing his number but he was not picking up his calls.
She was becoming restless. All she wanted to do was to meet him and ask him why he could so easily use her and dump her for his. She also wanted to know if he ever loved even after she confessed her life to him. She also wanted to know if this was all planned to make fun of her and also wanted to ask him what future plans he had for her. But it looked as if he knew she was coming and so had to block her entrance.
As she was still there contemplating, a yellow taxi cab stopped in front of the giant gates of the world's most powerful company. A red-haired young man in his late thirties stepped down from the cab and paid the driver.
He approached Isabella who was looking frustrated and asked her.
What are you doing here young lady?
She sized the man and did not respond. Her anger and frustration did not let her do so.
He continued not minding her silence, l know you have been heavily wronged by Mr. Edward Casper and you strongly want to pay him back in his own coin but standing there won't do you any good.
Why not follow me and let me let you know how this kind of score is settled?
She didn't want to talk to him but she wanted to revenge on Edward for hurting her feelings in such a reckless manner.
So she asked him, what is your name and what do you want?
My name is Marcus he answered and the question is what can we do for society?
