“Don!”
The screech could be heard all the way from the elevator. Despite my current bad mood, I still managed a small grin but didn’t put down my computer. There was only one person in the entire world that called me that…
A second later, my door flew open, and in walked a beautiful she-wolf that, despite her small frame, had a spunk and personality that could fill up the States. She flipped her dark, chestnut hair and her dark, brown eyes sparked as the smile that was spread across her face.
“Kara,” I greeted her, only briefly glancing up from my computer to greet my best friend. And the only girl I had ever been able to talk to since I hit puberty. “Long time no see.”
