There was a knock at the door and my stomach erupted with butterflies. My mom gave me a sidewise glance, as I rushed out of the bedroom and towards the door. I was hoping it didn’t show, but I was beyond and above excited about this date. But the smirk on my mom’s face told me I was doing a terrible job at hiding it.
