“What?!”
“Shush! Mi reinita, quiet down your voice.” My father scolded but I ignore him and exhaled loudly, feeling overwhelmed.
He continued walking forward with me behind him, still contemplating my decision. I missed my father so much but I feel like something has changed about him. I understand that I’m not his little girl anymore but I just longed for his cuddly side. The one who used to crack jokes on me, the side of him that’s always overprotective and happy.
This one is serious, strict, and… off.
“Uh, dad? About that guy earlier, erm… I heard what he said and he called you… Alpha. Can I know what’s going on? What happened to you these past years that you were gone? And the pack? What does it mean? You have a pack now?” I laugh in disbelief, feeling overwhelmed.
