Cupid paying Mr. Training a visit but it's more like a class disruption

"You do know that I can run laps instead of sitting here watching them like I'm some lazy bum, right?" Ember groaned at Alex. "Look E, you practically died just yesterday and Greyson specifically advised every single one of us to not make you do any work. Can you just behave?" Alex pleaded as he rubbed his forehead for the hundredth time today, similar with Ember asking him the same question for the hundredth time today. "Can I at least walk around?" "What did you not understand by no work?" Ember pouted at Alex. "No means no, E. Why don't you just meditate and you might improve your power." "The power of clocks. Wow." She sarcastically said, rolling her eyes. "Yes, E. The power of clocks if that's what you want to call it." "This is so f*****g boring." She laid down on the grass, staring at the clear blue sky. "Well, if you weren't too stubborn to go training with that fresh wound of yours the other day then I might've just allowed you to train today." "In my defense, you did know that I previously died through a stab wound." "I'm quite surprised that you forgot about my random loss of memory on anything other than science." Ember blew a raspberry before closing her eyes, letting her thoughts flow into the breeze. After a few moments, Alex heard her calm breaths, making him sigh in relief. "Ugh, finally." He covered Ember's exposed legs with his jacket and walked to the boys. "I'm guessing you don't train much, do you?" He poked Kenneth's skinny arms. "Obviously." Kenneth responded in a duh tone. "If I can make a gun-" and so he did- " out of thin air, why should I?" "Well, if this happens to you-" Alex bent down, sweeping Kenneth's feet with his right foot and grabbed his gun as he was falling, pointing it to him- "what do you do then?" "First off, ow." He groaned, rubbing his back as Alex helped him up, the rest of the boys laughing their assess off. "Second, I could always create another gun." He grabbed the gun back from Alex and tossed it into the air making it disappear. "I see your point. But what if you're already tired and you still have to fight millions of people? You guys do know that you still have limitations based on your endurance, right?" "Alex, you're making it sound as if we're going to be fighting a whole army." Jacob wheezed out from laughing too much. "It's just a precaution, guys. I mean look at the girls." he pointed his thumb behind him where the girls were beating up scarecrows. The boys laughter ceased when their eyes landed on the girls. "Woah." Those five teenage boys stared at Astraea and Grace in aodration. "Can Ember do that?" Rocco roamed his eyes around the field that they were currently in, looking for an Ember. "Yeah. And she's better than them." Alex noticed Rocco's eyes glancing around and a smirk managed to make its way into his lips. "And she's asleep over there, lover boy." His tone teasing as he pointed to where he left Ember, near some bushes full of flowers and a gentle ray of sunshine keeping her warm enough from the cold October breeze. "Oooh, someone's got a crush." Nick teased next. "What?" Rocco blew a raspberry. "I do not." But his cheeks turning a light shade of pink proved otherwise. "Uh-huh." James fake agreed. "So you didn't like her when you were the only one that noticed the absence of rice in her plate at lunch yesterday?" "Is it so bad that I noticed?" He threw his arms in the air. "Or when you immediately raced down the stairs when Astraea said that she needed clean rags to stop Ember's bleeding?" Nick wiggled his eyebrows. "I could've just teleported but you beat me to it so I didn't bother." "I just wanted to help?" "How 'bout when you gave your blanket to Ember when she had fallen asleep in the middle of the movie we were watching last night?" Rocco was about to retort but Nathan wasn't done. "And carrying her back to her room exactly when the movie ended." "Oh god, fine. You guys are such jerks." He grumbled, twisting his right shoe covered toes in the ground. The five boys chuckled at Rocco. "But seriously though, how had you developed a crush on her that quick?" Jacob asked. "Well," he rubbed the back of his neck, "there was this one time where I called the wrong spirit. I was supposed to call a high-ranking spirit or something like that but I ended up calling a female adult spirit. She was pretty cool, you know, and we hit it off pretty quick so we started to talk often. She told me what her life was like, you know, before she passed away. And I told her what my life was like with all the dead people and spirits that I see often. "Then she suddenly said 'You'd be perfect for my daughter. She also has powers like you.' And her name was-" "Elizabeth Agapov." Nathan muttered. Everybody looked at Rocco for confirmation and he nodded. "Woah. How did you know?" Kenneth asked. "Ember's mom is dead, that's one thing. And at times, Ember would mention that she would see her mom in her dreams talking about a boy with green eyes. "It was just a hunch actually when I first saw you but then, when you went to get the towels, I felt the wind in the kitchen shift to cold which only happens when there are random disturbances such as ghosts." The boys nodded. "And I did hear you talking to someone you called Liz when you were with Ember in her room." "Yeah, that makes so much sense." Rocco chuckled. "Anyways," James interrupted, "we're here to save the world, guys. Not talk about love interests." "You're just saying that 'cause you're missing your honey-boo." Jacob pouted his lips, ending in a high pitched voice and batting his eyelashes at his twin. It was a futile attempt at making his twin move on. James grin dropped to a small smile, staring up at the sky. "I do miss him. A lot." "Now I want to hear this, who's this honey-boo of yours, J1?" Kenneth then teased next, not noticing that shift. "Wait, wait. Why is he J1?" "That's 'cause he's older, dude." Kenneth answered Jacob. "And better." Which earned James a slap on the back of his head from his twin. Nick sat down on the grass, yawning. "I am also interested in this honey-boo of yours, Ja-" He was rudely interrupted by a shoe hitting his head. "Ow! The f**k!" He looked in the direction of where it came from and saw Grace and Astraea waving at him with grin's on their faces. "Stop being a lazy bum and keep training! And toss me my shoe back!" Astraea yelled at him. Nick rolled his eyes and tossed Astraea back her shoes. Unbeknownst to him, the other boys were wiggling their eyes at each other. "Alright, enough." Alex chuckled. "Run ten laps, guys. Chop-chop." He clapped his hands, gesturing them to move along. The boys groaned and started to jog, working on their ten laps. Alex then walked to Grace and Astraea that were once again, beating up scarecrows. "So why throw the shoe at Nick when Nathan and Rocco were already sitting on the grass long before Nick sat down?"
