14 I park the Ferrari in the garage and lock it up for the night. I walk across the courtyard, hoping Josh and those two girls have burnt off the cocaine and champagne and collapsed together in bed. I could really do with a quiet night's sleep. I roll my neck and shoulders out, searching my pockets for my key to the house. But a bang and a flash stop me dead in my tracks. I look up. Another flash of gunfire coming from the top floor of the mansion. I fumble the key into the lock. I run through the hall, bound up the stairs. Have I been suckered? Did Carlos have another assassin ready to take out the kid? Whatever the answer, there’s no time to go for the weapon I've got stashed under my bed. I head straight for the top floor. I hit the landing and hear screaming. Josh and the girls.
