Prologue (Chapter 1)
"Who is that woman?" Alexander asked from his seat, marveling at the most elegant and classy woman he had ever seen in his life. Even though he couldn't see her face clearly from where he was sitting, he was certain he had never met her before. Because there was no way he would have forgotten her.
Her brown hair didn't need an elaborate hairstyle, nor did she need extravagant makeup to attract any man who passed by her side. Her wavy hair fell gently over her shoulders, and her pale skin looked so delicate and smooth. Her silver dress swayed from side to side as she danced with an older man. The first thought that crossed his mind was that it could be her father, until his assistant responded to his question.
“She's Sarah Petit, sir, your ex-wife”.
Those words echoed in his head over and over again as he remembered the woman he had been married to for two years, the one he thought he loved, the one who no longer stirred his emotions.
What an irony.
Now, he found her attractive and irresistible.
