Ten days had passed since I last saw Bicker. Eventually, I was locked in my room and could only leave for a few hours at night to train in the garden.
However, I was so focused on my training that I hadn't realized that there were only a couple of days left until the red moon.
That meant I had to solve the problem of the infertility of the women in the kingdom. Ironically, I knew the answer, but the elders decided not to believe me.
“Onyx,” Marianne said suddenly from the doorway.
With a grimace on my lips, I opened the door and looked at her. She looked at me gently as she entered the room and sat down on the edge of the bed.
“I know it hasn't been a horrible week for you, Onyx, but I promise you that everything will be over soon,” she hinted, inviting me to sit down next to her.
