At first, I didn't understand what was happening, until I finally understood. s**t! How could I forget? I had given my virginity to another man, and his scent was all over my body.
I wanted to explain everything, but I couldn't even speak when a furious growl came out of Wallas' lips, who pulled out his claws as his eyes turned completely black. “Who did you f**k? What have you done?”
“Wallas, listen to me... I didn't know what to do. Alpha kidnapped Abby and turned her into his slave. I needed to help her!” I explained between pleas.
Despite my words, Wallas remained silent for a few minutes before putting his hand on his head and letting out a roar. “I want to see your human form now!”
The reality was that Wallas wasn't just my best friend, he was also the next beta in the pack and the strongest, most fearsome warrior. As an omega, I had no choice but to follow the orders of a higher-ranking wolf. With tears in my eyes, I returned to my human form and locked away my wolf.
In a matter of seconds, my scarred body was exposed to Wallas, the man I had been in love with all my life.
Shame overwhelmed me as I fell to my knees and lowered my head. I could feel Wallas' gaze running over my naked body, but just then, Wallas leaned down and grabbed my chin, forcing me to look him in the eyes.
“Did Alpha Jason force you to f**k him?” he asked, pressing his claws into my chin.
Hearing that, I felt my stomach lurch. His scent flooded me, relaxing me a little, but his dangerous aura contradicted my calm, making me feel even more miserable.
“He... He asked for my virginity in exchange for my sister,” I finally replied, closing my eyes in agony.
In fact, I wasn't lying: the alpha didn't force me to be with him. I was the one who accepted his damn blackmail and went to his room hoping to end this as soon as possible.
“You're a damn b***h! You just wanted an excuse to spread your legs for the alpha! Damn it, now I'll be the laughing stock of the pack!” Wallas growled, almost euphoric.
“Wallas, it's not what you think,” I insisted, wanting to explain everything better.
But just as I was about to say something, Wallas let go of my chin and hit me hard on the cheek, making me stagger to one side.
I put my hands on my cheeks to calm the burning. My wolf growled inside me as all my pain turned to anger.
“Enough! How dare you say that about me? Was I supposed to stand by and do nothing while Alpha Jason mistreated my sister?” I shouted, trying to control my she-wolf, who wanted to unleash all her power and attack our mate.
“You're an i***t! Your sister doesn't need you, can't you see? She's prettier, smarter, and stronger than you, a damn omega who's only good for being a slut. Damn it, the moon goddess gave me the dumbest girl in the world as a mate!” he said with a sneer.
Every word Wallas said caused me immense physical pain. How could Wallas say all this to me? He was supposed to be my best friend and now my mate; he had always supported me in everything, but now he wouldn't even listen to me.
“What are you trying to say?” I asked, afraid of what was about to happen. I saw it in his face: Wallas had already made up his mind.
He furrowed his brow and took a step toward me, placing his right hand on his chest. “I will do what I must! I, Wallas Nessborry, future beta of the pack, reject you, Onyx Petitt, as my mate,” he said.
His words caused a sharp pain in my chest that brought me to my knees. I felt everything around me cloud as I clutched my chest with my hands.
“I don't want anyone in this pack to know that you're my mate. If you see me, ignore me. Every time I see you, I just imagine you f*****g Alpha Jason,” were the last words I heard from him before I saw him walk away as my claws dug into the wet earth.
I couldn't even believe what was happening. My mate had rejected me and treated me like I was a slut.
Feeling my tears flow, as if his rejection had broken everything I had ever felt. I let out a snort, grabbed one of the willow dresses, and went straight to the stream to wash myself, trying to get rid of Alpha Jason's nauseating smell.
After almost 20 minutes of scrubbing my skin, I returned home. But as soon as I opened the door, a hard blow hit me in the face. “You're useless!” my mother growled through clenched teeth.
The blow didn't surprise me at all. After all, my parents had saved me from death, but I had to pay for it with my emotional stability every day, enduring their beatings and abuse.
“I'm sorry, Mom... I tried,” I said with my head down.
“You did nothing! This is all your fault! You didn't try hard enough with Alpha Jason! This is because of your damn envy and jealousy of Abby!” my mother shouted as she hit me again in the face.
I remained silent while she insulted me. To her, I was just a nuisance who should have been enslaved instead of Abby. Unfortunately for her, the alpha took Abby and freed me.
“We can talk to my father...”
At my words, she let out a mocking laugh before approaching me, forcing me back. “Listen to me, you worthless girl: you're going back to Alpha Jason and you're going to let him f**k you a million times, if necessary, so he'll release my daughter. If not, I'll make sure you suffer,” she threatened me with a look full of hatred and resentment.
I stood there in complete silence, not knowing how to react. For years I believed that my parents cared for me because they loved me, but now the truth has come to light: I was just a guarantee.
Without thinking twice, I ran up to my room and threw myself on the bed, sobbing uncontrollably.
“We have to get out of here. It doesn't matter where. Anything is better than this damn pack. We are legendary wolves, we deserve better. If we don't leave, Alpha Jason will take us as s*x slaves,” growled my furious she-wolf.
In fact, my she-wolf was right: Alpha Jason would not release my sister, and if he did, I was sure my mother would hand me over as a slave in exchange.
Faced with that, I made the best decision: to escape from the pack. Without thinking twice, I got out of bed and started filling my backpack with the few clothes I had in my closet and decided to leave in the morning.
Unfortunately, as soon as the sun came up, there was a loud commotion outside my window. Yawning, I opened my eyes and glanced out the window.
I didn't understand what was going on, but the members of the pack were applauding and cheering Alpha Jason, who was standing with a female wolf in his arms.
I quickly put on a sweater and left the house, but as I made my way through the crowd, my eyes widened when I saw Abby kissing the alpha, who was holding her by the waist, and everyone was cheering on their new mate.
“But... what's going on here?” I asked, completely confused.
Alpha Jason and Abby quickly pulled away as they looked at me mockingly. “Oh, sister! Alpha Jason and I are mates!” Abby said with a smirk.
I was speechless for a few seconds as I tried to process her words. “But... you... you were kidnapped...” I stammered in a low voice.
“Kidnapped? How silly you are, little sister. Alpha Jason is my mate, and soon I'll be Luna in this pack. Aren't you happy?” Abby said with a mocking, cynical tone.
I was stunned. Not even a second passed before Alpha Jason and she laughed mockingly while my mother rejoiced at the news.
In that moment, I understood everything. It had all been a damn plan to get me to give myself to Alpha Jason! But how could they do something like that? I lost my virginity and even my mate to save her, and it all turned out to be a damn trap.
Overwhelmed by a wave of hatred, I turned to Alpha Jason and roared, "You! You bastard. You used me! You got what you wanted and...“
My words stopped dead in my throat when Alpha Jason grabbed me by the throat and threw me to the ground. ”You better shut your mouth. You cheap b***h. It's obvious you were jealous of your sister and now you're making this scene," he growled, causing all eyes to fall on me.
Not a second passed before the murmurs of those present echoed throughout the place. However, just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, Abby grabbed my chin and lifted my face up to hers.
“I'll take care of you...”
