“Beta, one of the guys in the next unit over just collapsed”, a link comes in from the stationed vehicle nearby. Irritated, Hank links back, “Send him back to the packhouse, then”. Shaking his head, Hank treads carefully along the woods, sniffing.
Hank searches for over an hour before another link comes in, “Beta Janie put out a call, sir. She’s asking if anyone knows who Katherine Wallace’s mate is”. Hank stops, why in Goddess’s name is she asking? “Yeah, Alex Templeton. Why?”, he answers. “I’m not sure, sir”.
