Isabel immediately looked up at Howard's voice.
Howard held a red heart Q with his right hand.
"Really?" Harlan didn't believe Howard and said, "Show me what you've got."
"Isabel, show him."
Seeing Howard didn't get gloomy or upset, Isabel wondered if he had the deck of cards to win."
"10JQKA!"
It was a royal flush.
Harlan already got great cards. Who knew Howard could have such great luck!
"How's that?"
"I lost."
Harlan was anything but a sore loser. He admitted it willingly.
Isabel didn't know how to play, and Harlan could tell from the way she dealt. But Howard won anyway, which meant he was super lucky.
"When the husband and wife team up, even the gold can be broken. I've learned a lesson."
