Our Dawn Is Hotter Than Day

Let's Stay like this for a while

Awi's POV. 

"What the hell are you doing here?!" I said, with obvious irritation in my tone looking at the man that's in front of me. 

"You never did reply to my messages, so I thought something was wrong," he said, worry written all over his face

"Awi, are you okay?" Nicole then appeared and examine the two of us 

"It's just nothing, Nicole. Don't worry about it," I replied, giving her a reassuring smile 

"Are you Awi's friend?" asked the man I was talking with earlier 

"Yes, I'm Nicole Tolseva" 

"Pleasure to meet you, I'm Julian," he said extending his hand for a handshake which Nicole gladly accept.

"Awi's boyfriend" he added which made Nicole look at me. The atmosphere suddenly turns awkward, so I just pretended to divert my attention to the swaying trees around us. 

"Is that so? My apologies, Awi forgets to mention that she has a boyfriend," she smilingly said looking at Julian then at me

I swear, I'm gonna die in this instant. Why did they have to meet? And why is this guy here in front of me? But the question that I can't get out of my mind right now is why the hell I don't want the two of them to meet. It's not like I'm hiding something so why should I worry. Why do I freaking feel that I got caught cheating? 

"She likes to do it a lot which makes me upset sometimes," Julian said, before wrapping his arms around my waist 

"But still, I know that she loves me because she always takes care of me. Right baby?" Julian added and placed a kiss on my cheeks 

"Stop it" I whisper and get his arms off of me

Why does this guy have to act as if nothing happened? What the hell. I want to get out of this atmosphere right here, right now. Nicole's intense stare isn't even helping me at all.

"Sorry to disturb the two of you. Now then, if you'll excuse me," Nicole said, announcing her leave

No, this is not what I want. I just can't let her go. This is all just a misunderstanding. Wait, why do I even need to feel like this when nothing is going on between the two of us. 

"Nicole, I promised to help you with your groceries right?" I said, making her stop in her mid steps. She looked at us and smiled and I swear that is the most painful smile I ever saw in my entire life. 

"You don't have to do that, I can take care of myself, and besides if I ever need any help, I can always call Dawn," she said, never leaving the smile on her face

Oh please as if Dawn would happily go with you when your friend messed up just yesterday. Dawn won't even talk to Sky and you expect her to help you? But then again, it's not like I can say all these things to you.

"What are you talking about. I never break my promises," I said and turned to face Julian

"We have to go, I'll call you later," I said and plant a kiss on his cheeks

"Let's go," I smilingly said, grabbing Nicole's hand 

We are now on our way to the parking lot of the school. It's so unusual of her to be this quiet so the atmosphere becomes awkward. She then gets her car keys that have been placed inside her pocket and used it to detect her car. 

"So, why did you not reply to his messages? If you don't mind me asking" she asked all of a sudden which made me stop for a moment.

"I'm sorry, I overheard your conversation earlier. He said you're not responding to any of his messages so he's worried. You don't have to answer my question though," she added and open the front seat of her car

I hopped in and waited for her to be settled on the driver's seat 

"I'm not in the mood to give him a reply" 

"He looks worried though," she said and bring her black rover into life 

"Then tell me, what would you even reply to a message with only hahaha's in it?" I asked, making her chuckle and I decided that that's my new favorite sound starting today 

"At least open some new topic" 

"i***t just focused on the road," I said and face the valance window of the car, diverting my attention to the people outside. 

"How did you two ended up together anyway? Last time, you were crying because some man ghosted you and now you have a boyfriend" she asked focusing on the road 

"He's that man, I thought he ghosted me but it turns out that he has been hospitalized so it does make sense now," 

After explaining to her what happened between Julian and me, my eyes were fixed on the flipped photo paper which is placed in front of her. I pick it up and smiled at the person that was in the picture

"Is this you? Oh my gosh you're so cute" 

"Stop it Awi, put that back now or we might end up in trouble," she said trying to snatch the photo from my hands 

"No way, look how cute you are. Such a cutie Nicole Tolseva. How lovely," I said teasing her 

"I said stop it," she said in a firm tone and successfully snatch the picture from my hands. I tried to snatch it from her but this time she grabs a hold of my hand

"Hey, let go," I said, getting my hands off from her grip

"So you can distract me again? No way," she said holding my hand tighter 

"Why don't you just talk more about your boyfriend and I'll listen," she said which made me shut not more than a second

Do I want to talk about him? But I'm already happy and contented in this atmosphere though. I don't want to ruin it again, not now that I'm starting to have fun. 

"Let's not talk about him okay?" I said and intertwined my hand with hers

"What do you want to talk about then?" she asked and take a glimpse in my direction before proceeding to look at the road. I look outside the window and tried to compose myself. 

"I don't know. Let's just stay like this for a while" I said and held her hand tight and I swear I don't want this moment to last when she squeezed my hand.
