Bryan's POV.

I still can't get it out of my mind. The worry and the hate just seem to collide. How am I supposed to finish everything within 3 days? And now instead of doing the work, I'm out here eating with a bunch of people. Don't get me wrong, I love hanging out with them but I also just can't get rid of the presentation. Probably the reason why I can't enjoy the food even though it's free. 

I look at the two people in front of me. They look so oh lovey-dovey together. Since when did this happen? I thought its only Awi and Nicole, they didn't tell me that Dawn is also crushing so hard with this girl. Damn those eyes she gives to Sky. 

"Hey let us join in your conversation. Don't just leave us here behind" I said disrupting the two from their world 

"That's true cuz, spill the tea" Scarlet seconded

"It's just nothing. We were just talking about spoken poetry" Dawn uttered

"Okay, not interested" Xavier directly said which made us look at him 

"What?" he asked with a confused look in his eyes 

I can't believe he's too blunt for a guy but then again I don't want to be a sexist. Still, he shouldn't have said that as if it doesn't matter at all. Given Sky's reaction, I can tell that she loves the art. Good thing Dawn held her hands and so she gives a frigid smile and let Xavier continue to talk 

"Let's just talk about other things guys, okay?" he added

"Agree," Scarlet said

"Thank you! Finally, we're on the same page" Xavier said 

"Don't worry, we can talk about spoken poetry and any other literacy works after them" I heard Dawn whispered to Sky which earned a blush from the girl. 

"Then what should we talk about?" Awi asked, and we all think for a topic to tackle

"How about we talk about the courses we took and what we do in life?" Nicole suggested 

Yeah right. Here we go with the damn courses. I don't even know if I want to talk about it. The damn deadline is just on my mind. I'm even surprised that I can still listen to them attentively while also thinking about the 3 days. 

"Oh, I hate talking about courses" I muttered without thinking 

"Why? It's fun though. We could learn more about each other. Studying accountancy in states made me missed a lot of changes in my friends. The lessons are quite challenging but it sure is worthy" Xavier uttered

"Really?" Dawn said with excitement written all over her face 

"I mean, Awi and I are studying accountancy too but I find it difficult to the extent that I just hate attending the class sometimes" she added

"Oh, I never thought that we are studying the same course. Though, in a different country," Xavier said with amazement at the newfound information 

"Aside from studying accountancy, do you have any hobbies that you do? Awi here like to enter in some dancing competitions as a hobby" Dawn said, interrogating the guy who's with Sky earlier

"Really? You dance?" Nicole asked with disbelief, not expecting the girl to dance 

"It's just a hobby, I don't dance that much" Awi uttered

For a second, I saw Nicole let out a sigh of relief. Maybe she doesn't want to date a dancer? Who knows 

"Well, I enjoy photography. I like to capture beautiful things" Xavier said while staring at Sky then smiled 

So is he having a crush on Sky? How about Dawn? Is this some kind of a love triangle? But they come together, who knows Xavier might be Sky's boyfriend without us knowing 'cause they're trying to hide it in secret 

"That's great. Scarlet here is a model. It would be great if the two of you could work on a project together" Dawn said, not caring about Xavier's stares at Sky 

Am I wrong? Is she not having a crush on Sky? Maybe I'll ask Awi later, she knows her other than anyone else. 

"No please, I don't want to work with an asshole," Scarlet bluntly said which made the atmosphere awkward 

They might hate each other but I'm pretty sure the guy was hurt by what Scarlet just said. After all, photography is just another passion of his. 

"How about you Nicole? What course did you apply to?" Awi asked, cutting off the silence 

"Oh, I'm currently studying engineering. It's both amazing and fun until you find yourself panicking because of the undone plates on your desk which have the same deadlines with different professors" she said and let out an awkward chuckle 

"How about you Sky? What are you studying?" I asked, curious to know her course

"I'm studying literature. Days from now, our university will have its literacy week which I happen to be one of the contestants in the spoken poetry category" she said and gave a smile 

"It's great that you finally found the courage to enter in that kind of events," Nicole said to her friend

"How about you Bryan? Which course did you take?" Sky asked, her blue orbs, looking at me 

"Yeah, I'm also curious. And care to explain about the bruises too, dude?" Xavier seconded

I let out a deep sigh before answering them. Talking about courses just drain me down to the core 

"Well, I'm a law student. It's not that great especially with my situation today. And the bruises came from a bunch of assholes who beat me up" I said and took a sip of water 

"Why? What's so bad about being a law student?" Scarlet asked with curiosity written in her green eyes 

"It's not that bad. The project I have been working on failed and now I only have three days to revise and give our professor an excellent presentation" I explained 

"What kind of project is that? If you don't mind me asking" Scarlet said and took a sip of cola

"Oh not at all. I need to make a problem or a scenario then choose the best article that can solve it" I uttered before letting out a sigh 

"Scarlet can help you. She's studying in a prestigious school and not to mention, she also shares the same course as you. I mean dude, you only have 3 days, I'm sure you won't finish it all by yourself" Dawn said and look at Scarlet with pleading eyes 

"No, it's okay Dawn. I would hate it if I bother someone because of my failure" I said giving them a smile 

"The idea is not that bad. I can help you since you also help me with those boys earlier," 

"But you already treated us to lunch" 

"Food is not enough princess" 

Damn, I could feel my cheeks heat after she said the last word. Good thing that they didn't notice my tomato face from blushing because I don't want to explain everything to them for now. 

"Help you with those boys?" Xavier asked with confusion written in his eyes

"The assholes that ruined my gorgeous face. They tried to hit on her so I come to the rescue, only to be beaten up" I explained

"Can't believe that someone would hit on you. But after all the word b***h is already written on your face" Xavier chuckled

What the hell is wrong with this dude! I don't think they're already on a friend basis for him to say such a thing like that. Don't get me wrong, I use the word b***h most of the time but that word isn't suited to use in that kind of situation. She was freaking harassed. 

I can't even control my knuckles from clenching. If my body wasn't aching, I probably would have punched this guy straight into his face. I could also see Nicole's disappointed look towards his friend. 

"Xavier!" Sky hissed at his friend, showing her blue eyes turned into a pissed one 

"No, Sky, let him continue," Scarlet said as she crossed her arms 

"What? It's true. Thir girl in front of me is a bitch." Xavier said not even showing a single regret in his eyes when he said the word b***h 

On cue, Dawn stands up from her chair and moves closer towards the guy. Scarlet, Awi, and I swallow a lump on our throat as we know what's about to happen. Dawn is pretty, sweet, and caring but you shouldn't push her to her limits 

Xavier just looks at her with confusion. And on one swift move, Dawn already grabs the guy on the collar. 

"Hey, what do you know about my cousin," Dawn said using her deepest voice 

"Dawn, just forget it. I'm sure he's still pissed about our encounter at the airport" Scarlet said uncrossing her arms. Her green orbs show worry that something bad might happen to the guy. 

Dawn didn't even budge to move. She just stood there looking intensely at Xavier. Her brown eyes look so dark and her jaw clench as she controls herself from creating a mess on the diner

"Dawn, let him go. He's Sky and Nicole's friend" Awi whispered but still, all of us heard it 

"Scarlet, Bryan, and Awi. Pack your things and let's go" Dawn said with a firm tone, still locking her eyes towards Xavier

"Dawn, come on. We're still having fun" Awi pleaded

"You heard me," Dawn said drifting her eyes to Awi 

And with that, we packed our things as fast as we can and stand behind her. Awi just looks at Nicole with apologetic eyes. This was supposed to be a fun lunch but damn Xavier ruined it all by showing his asshole side. 

Sky just looks at Dawn packing her things. I'm sure she's trying to formulate some words but can't say it because of how Dawn looks so intimidated. When Dawn finished packing, it is when Sky grabs her arms and finally let out the question she's dying to know 

"I will see you again, right? You'll come to the competition, right?" 

"I don't know. I'm sorry" Dawn said with a cold voice 

Dawn's last words broke not just my heart but also Awi's. For we know that we won't be able to see them for quite some time. Awi just clenched her fist and walk out of the diner, disappointed at what just Dawn answered to Sky. Who wouldn't be? It's only Xavier who becomes an asshole and now Sky and Nicole also have to pay their price.

Dawn let go of Sky's grip and walk out of the diner as well. Poor lady, her eyes start to water, and couldn't even look at the door. Afraid that she won't be able to see Dawn again 

"Bryan, let's go," Dawn said once again making me flinch

"I'm sorry," I said and give them an apologetic smile

Before I could entirely walk out of the diner, my peripheral eyes saw Sky move closer to Xavier and slap him straight into his face. The girl looks like her tears start to flow, I'm not sure but I'm sure that I heard the words she said 

"I'm so disappointed in you"
