Lunch

Sky's POV.
"There's no way I'm gonna eat together with that butch, Sky," Xavier said with an obvious refusal.
"Excuse us for a second" I smilingly said and grab Xavier far away from their table
"Come on, Xavier, just forget what happened earlier okay?" I said convincing him
"Not this time Sky. You already knew what that b***h did to my favorite long sleeves. You even went on so much trouble buying me a new shirt" he said, writing his disagreement in his face
"Then just treat the new shirt as an exchange for you to eat with us," I pleaded
"Why do you badly want to eat with them? They look like troublemakers. Look at that man they are hanging out with, there's a lot of bruises written all over his face. What is he? A boxer?" he said giving me a still "no" look
"They are great people Xavier. Maybe something just happened before they got here. Come on, stop judging a book by its cover, okay? Besides; look at Nicole. She's having a lot of fun" I said looking at the smiling Nicole, giggling with Dawn and Awi
"I know you Sky, you don't hang out with this kind of people. I just went to the states for a couple of months then now you want to eat with people who are not even your type and have the same level as yours" he said, displeased
Xavier is a good man. He's always there in times that I needed him especially when he senses that my a*s is in trouble. However, what he said is just so disappointing. Maybe because I never imagined that he could say such things to my newfound friends.
"You're going too far Xavier, All I want is to eat with them yet here you are judging them. You are not my parents okay, and this is my life. I am free to befriend and hang out with the people that I feel comfortable with" I said with a hint of irritation in my voice
"And besides, I have something to discuss with Eaverly" I added
"Fine. But just this once okay? And stop being upset, you know I hate to see you being in this kind of state" he said, letting his eyes show his worried emotions
"If you don't want me to be upset then don't talk bad things about the people I'm interested with," I said emphasizing the word interested
"I know and I'm sorry. I was just carried by my emotions. Let me at least make it up to you okay?" he said and placed a kiss on my forehead before wrapping me in his embrace
Dawn's POV.
"What the hell was that cuz?" I asked my cousin who continue to enjoy her french fries, not giving a care about the guy's reaction
"You knew each other?" Nicole asked, dumbfounded at the new information
"We met at the airport earlier this morning. I accidentally spilled a coffee in that over-dramatic guy" she rolled her eyes as she explained the guy's reaction
"You what!?" Nicole asked, dumbfounded once again at my cousin's story
"What? I didn't know he was there. Look at his height, he's not even that tall" My cousin defended herself before Nicole could even say another word
My cousin has always been the one who doesn't give a single care in her surroundings. That's why it's not new to me that she didn't see the guy plus her clumsiness just have to shine early in the morning, spilling coffee unto the poor guy.
"Well, I bet you also inserted in his line, didn't you? Just like what you did to that poor stranger when we were outside of the town" I said, letting out a smirk
If the accident happened when my cousin was getting food then I'm pretty sure she just walk straight into the counter without giving damn care about the other people who fall in line first before her.
"I can't see anything other than foods when I'm hungry" she explained and continue to devour her attention in her french fries
"You are indeed connected by blood, Dawn," Awi said, giving a thumbs up to Scarlet and me
"Well at least I'm not as savage as her," I said with a smirk on my face
"Hey! What the hell does that even mean?" she said confused and hit my head
"She said that you're much worst compared to her," Nicole said, teasing us which made Scarlet hit me harder than the previous one
"Nicole!" I said, glaring at her
Nicole just laughed and so as Awi. These two look so cute together that even my heart can't handle their cuteness. This is the first time I ever saw my best friend laugh and feel comfortable around a lesbian. Maybe, it was because Nicole is a lipstick lesbian that's why Awi didn't bother that much.
A few more minutes and the laugh was cut off when Sky and his other friend came back from their ordering their food. I think that Sky has finally convinced the guy to eat with us since he looks so calm now.
"Take a seat," I said, giving them a smile
"Thank you" Sky smilingly said and took a seat at the chair beside me while her friend, Xavier took a seat in front of my cousin
"By the way Eaverly, I remember you said you like spoken poetry the night of my birthday party," Sky said, starting a conversation while the others eat their foods
"Not just like, I love it. You know I love how the poet plays with her words. It's such a beautiful art when you hear it"
"Then, I have a surprise for you," she said, then grab a piece of paper in her purse
"What's that?" I asked, fixing my eyes at the paper
"It's a ticket. For you" she said and gave the piece of paper to me
"A ticket? For me?" I asked to confirm her statement
"Yup, definitely for you. Days from now we will have this literacy week in our school which I happen to be a part of in the same event. My parents cannot make it because of some business trip so I decided to just give it to someone who would appreciate" she said popping the p but then continue to talk to us
"Wow. I'm overwhelmed. I mean, of course, I'd go but how about your friends Xavier and Nicole" I asked her looking at the two who were busy digging at their food
"Xavier hates that kind of stuff so he'll never accept it. I already gave Nicole a ticket but not yet sure whether she could make it. You know, some of my schedules don't match with hers" she explained
"Well, I guess I'll see you then," I said giving her my warmest smile
"Of course. I will never forgive you if you won't show up on that day. And you should also bring me flowers" she chuckles as she placed her head on my shoulder linking her hands on my arms
"Demanding" I smilingly said and feed her a piece of fries
"I know," she said letting out a chuckle once again. Gosh she's so cute
