Relax A Little!

Jace POV: We entered the office building using my personal elevator in the back of the building. I did not want to see security, and I did not want to answer a million questions from everyone in the building. I had one thing on my mind. I wanted to get the investigation started. Getting up to my office, I set down my laptop and briefcase. Toney settled in the chair at the conference table. He did not understand the numbers, so he more or less sat there to be a bodyguard. I pulled out all the paperwork and started to trace numbers and accounts. Things weren't adding up. There were a lot of different smaller charges that had slipped through the cracks. I traced the companies and the numbers all day. Tony only interrupted me when I had board meetings to attend and then at lunch. The sun had set, and I was still deep tracing the accounts. "Boss!" Toney said. Leaning back in his chair, his feet propped up on another chair at the conference table. "What?" I growled. "Well, you have been at this for hours, its already 7:30 Don't you think we should call it?" He asked. "You need a break, You need to get out of here" He said a smile touching the corner of his mouth. I knew something loaded was about to come from his mouth. I stopped what I was doing and leaned back in my chair, massaging the back of my neck. It was sore from leaning over the spreadsheets and reports all day. "Maybe we can go grab a drink before heading back to the house!" he said, moving to his feet and walking to me. "A drink does sound pretty good," I admitted honestly. I had nothing but numbers swarming in my head. It was consuming my every thought. "Great boss, let's go." Toney closed my laptop, shoved it into my laptop case, stacked my papers and shoved them into my briefcase before grabbing both and my arm. He half dragged me to the elevator. "What the hell, Toney?" I said, grabbing my suit jacket as he dragged me out. "Listen, for the last 10 years of your life you have been all about business and our pack. I appreciate that, I admire it. I appreciate and admire your determination, but as your beta I am the one doing long hours with you and I wouldn't have it any other way, brother, but there comes a point where, for just one damn night, Jace, you and I are going to relax a bit." "Maybe make a friend for a night," he said with a wink. What in the hell was wrong with this man? "He has a point," Mason, my wolf, said, stretching at the back of my mind. "We need to relax a bit! It has been such a long time since we had a lady keep us company overnight," he said, laughing. "Seriously mason!" I said, rolling my eyes. "Yeah, why not?" He said. "Because we don't have time for that," I said. "The last time you made time was with Bell years ago!" He said his voice rumbling. "Bell was a mistake a big one I won't repeat" I responded a growl rumbling in my chest. "I am not saying to fall in love with the next woman that we bed, just have someone to keep us company at least for a night," he said, chuckling. Toney heard me growl and chuckled. "Mason is agreeing with me, isn't he?" he asked Chuckling. "It's two against one!" he said, pointing out that they both think I need to have a little fun. "The entertainment division just opened up a nightclub over on first avenue we can go check it out, see if we need to make any improvements and have few drinks" Toney said innocently. "It is still working" He said laughing placing his hand print over the screen and pressing the underground parking garage floor button. I'd heard about the grand opening but had not made the time to go and check it out. I was told that our club has been pretty profitable so far. I guess this would be a good chance to check it out and see if there are any immediate improvements needed. "Fine we will check it out and have a drink or two," I finally caved. "YESS!" Mason howled in my mind. Getting out of the elevator, we went to the SUV and got in and headed to the nightclub. Pulling up I was pleasantly surprised at the line in the front of the building. Toney pulled around to the back as Security announced our arrival to whomever was on the other end of the radio. They waved us through to the VIP parking space 5 foot from the back entrance. He parked by the back door entrance before getting out and coming around to open my door. Walking in we went down the hallway in the back full of supplies and equipment behind locked before we entered another section of the club. This one had several VIP rooms. A woman, Sarah, came rushing down the hall "Mr Wolf! Mr Wolf. Oh my god, it is an honor. When my security team told me you were here, I tried to come greet you myself," she said breathless as she stuck her hand out. I quickly shook her hand, "Honor is mine," I said, still looking around. "We thought we would come check out the club tonight," Toney said. "We are honored to have you both here come this way!" She said, leading us down the hall until we came to a bigger one more out of the way than the others. It was labeled "CEO VIP ROOM ONLY!" I was intrigued as I did not know a room had been built for me. Toney read the plaque as well before we entered the room. It was a back entrance to it. Walking, we saw a big sectional couch with a glass coffee table in the middle. It was dimly light and there was a floor-to-wall window looking out over the dance floor a small railing on the inside to lean against.
