Husuella walked into her work station smiling, she had woken up in a good mood and not even her employers orders to take the day of would stop her from coming to work late. She looked down at her brown canvases and smiled. Maybe today will go on just fine, she remembers every time she got fired from her former jobs she was putting on this brown shoes but she wasn’t expecting to get fired soon so all was good. The last time she had put them on she ended up in the washroom with a bruised and battered ego and maybe it was time she gave them some good memories. Picking up the piles of papers on her desk, she quickly sorted out the important ones and read through them, once she was done, she picked up the once that needed immediate attention and walked into Kaydens office without knocking, she did want to annoy him and bother him a little after all she was her slave. She froze in her trucks. “No,” she whispered and rubbed her eyes, there bending over Kaydens chair with her lips locked to his was her worst enemy, Diana? Wasn’t she married to her ex boyfriend and didn’t she just brag to her about it the other day? “ well,” she said and walked away from Kayden. He was about to say something but it got caught in his throat the momment he noticed Husuella standing by the door. Husuella locked the door and rushed off towards the washrooms, once again she had let herself get fooled, what was wrong with her? is it that the wise men who said once bitten twice shy and experience is the best teacher didn’t know she will be born? She leaned in and looked at her face in the mirror, it felt like the word i***t was printed all over her face, how could she fall victim to the same people over and over again and still not will herself to hate them? Kayden looked at the woman infront of him, “Get out and never ever walk into this office again, if you are ever seen anywhere near this place you are fired,” he yelled and made a move for the door. “If you can like that piece of crap then am better than her, did she tell you am married to her ex?” she asked smiling at him. Kayden looked at her amazed “Well your husband sure is an i***t, if he can choose you over someone like her then you deserve each other, and just before you go, you are also burned from all the three top floors ,” he said and walked out to see the moment Husuella rushed into the washroom, this time not even the door could stop him, it didn’t matter if he had to break down that door. Luckily the door wasn’t locked and when he walked in, the sight infront of him was heart breaking. Husuella stood staring at the mirror with a wide smile on her face, then she noticed him and all hell broke loose. She started laughing like she was crazy but there was a hint of sarcasm laced in the laughter. Kayden tried to control her but she soon stopped lauging and started crying, then she was down on the floor with her knees pulled up to her chin. She looked like a small girl who had just lost her puppy and the sight broke his heart. “Hey,” he whispered as he sat down next to her and pulled her to his chest. “ Got the wrong girl,” she said between tears. “ I don’t understand,” Kayden replied looking at her, “Do you.. do you like her, she is married you know,” she said looking at away. “I know, and no its more like the wrong girl got me,” he said and smiled as he wiped her tears with his thumbs. “ I don’t get it, your ex must have been damn enough to pick her for a wife, what kind of married woman smacks her lips on someone else and claims she is a better choice?” he asked into the air amuzed, “She said that? It true anyway,” Husuella whispered the last part but he heard it. “Oh, well it sure is true, she is a better choice for men who want cacked faces, but not me, id rather prefer a natural beuty who looks good in official suit and canvas,” he said staring at her feet making her punch him jockingly. “I need to wash my mouth then we can get out of here, that’s two days of missing work which shall be charged on your wages,” he said as he stood up and opened the tap. “Yeah, except for the fact that you still will be my slave by the end of the month so ill just order you not to,” she said smirking mischeviously, “Damn,” kayden granted before wiping off his hands and pulling her out of the building. “Master, your humble servant is waiting for your orders,” he said smiling. “Lets just get back to work, you’ve already lost so much hours at work, meanwhile I’ll figure something out,” she said smilling but her mood completely went sour when she turned around only to come face to face with the only person in the world she wouldn’t want to, Diana. She turned around and stared at Kayden who by then had not noticed what was going on. Was this some kind of game, was she playing with her the same sick game she had in campus? “Oh how can we help you miss?” Kayden asked amused, he felt humbled to see the storm of jelousy brewing in Husuellas eyes, could that mean she liked him too? Well he was just about to find out, Nothing I just came by to wish you a good day,” she said smiling, “ and that suit looks good on you,” she added grining towards Husuella. She didn’t even compliment him and now another woman was doing it infront of her? “ thank you mrs…, he raised his brows ‘its miss Diana,” then Husuella lost it, she turned around and was just about to land a blow on Dianas face but was held back by a strong hand to a hard contoured surface which felt suspiciously like a mans chest. For a moment she was tempted to flow with the feel but her desire to smack a persons face was overwhelming. “Hey there little kitten, its all good,” a voice that sounded suspiciously like her bosses whispered in her ear, she had even forgotten he was there. Turning her around, kayden captured her lips gently to his and kissed her with a passion he had never experienced before. In that kiss, he hoped he could let her know that she had nothing to worry about, that he was not her ex and would choose some bimbo over her and most importantly he hoped he could show her how much he loved her and how much she meant to him. When he pulled away he looked at her and smilled, you do know we are in the underground parking of skimlink building and its not a private parking area,” he said fascinated by how much she was blushing. “anyway I think we are taking the day off anyway, you refuse to e*****e me I e*****e myself to you,” he said and pulled her towards his car. “I could join you guys, am headed for lunch,” a voice startled them both as he got hold of the door handle. “Yes sure you can join us,” he said smilling but felt Husuella tense in his hands. Diana smiled and made a move towards them “But I prefer you don’t, and do you really think this suit is great?” he asked making her lighten up “Yes,” she said excited, “good, I don’t think am ever wearing it since its coming from you, give me your adress ill send it to your husband,” he said making Husuella to start giggling. He pulled the door and ushered Husuella into his passengers seat before closing it. “One more thing lady, stay away from me, I don’t like you and am sorry to say you are definitely not my type. The next time you pester me, am firing you,” he said in his most serious tone before getting into the drivers seat and driving off. “So we are here master,” Kayden said once he pulled into the private car parking and paid for his parking space. “You know we could have used public means right?” Husuella enquired trying to put some sense into him but he only smiled and gave the collector a tip. Once he got the receipt, he held her hand and walked her into the town square. Soon they crossed the road infront of the national archives and walked into the a five star hotel. After checking in, they went in and took there seats. “Welcome to ambassadors hotel, what would you like to have?” a waiter came around and asked. “can we get the menu?” Kayden asked and she pulled two booklets from the bunch she was having and gave one of them each. Husuella picked the menu and started looking at it. “ This is madness, for a damn stewed stake from here I could feed nine people,” she looked at Kayden enquiringly then back at the waiter, “lets get a bottle of water for starters,” she smiled gratefully at her as she walked away. She quickly took the menu from Kayden and put them together, “I ordered,” she smiled at kayden. “What, you ordered a bottle of water?” he looked at her questioningly. “You are my slave and you do as I deem remember,” she said smiling triumphantly at him. “We can shop, prepare food and donate it to an orphanage with that lunch money, for now well just head home and see what we can do,” she said as she picked the bottle from the waiter, paid her dues and walked out of there making kayden run after her. “Hey you know I brought you here and I was going to pay,” he wined as his stomach rumbled “Shhh, slaves don’t argue, lets just go home and you can prepare for me lunch,” she said mischeviously as she walked past the national archives towards the direction they came from. “Damn it, and here I thought I was safe and you didn’t know how to use a slave, am beginning to regret my descision,” he said smiling as he walked past her. Husuella sat back and waited, she wanted to go check what he was cooking but gave up to save his big ego because she felt he was not being honest. Twenty minutes later and he walked into the dining room with two bowls of stewed chicken and rice. Ahe walked back into the kitchen and came back with two glasses of fresh orange juice. Husuella uncovered one of the bowls to check for herself and immediately begun laughing when she noticed what was sticking at the side. “what?” he asked defensively, “heat in the microwave incase anyone comes for lunch, nanny really?” she asked him as she wiped the tears from her eyes, “ well busted, but I did make the juice myself though,” he said smiling at the fact that today of all days he had to forget that trivial aspect. After lunch, they washed the bowls they had used and decided to take a walk. “Thank you,” Husuella whispered when the silence grew too loud. “ For what,” Kayden asked staring at her as they sat on a bench under a jacaranda tree. “For lunch and also for standing up for me this morning,” she said looking into his eyes. “Well I already told you how much I love you and it shouldn’t come as a surprise,” he said making her look at him. “You only said you like me, you never talk about the L word,” she said making him smile. “well my bad, maybe I should have bought a lorry full of berries and written on the side ‘I love you before saying it out loud,” he said as if thinking making her laugh, “ Don’t worry its alright,” she said smiling widely. That night, they both walked into Gogianas room to tell her goodnight together and to say that she was happy was an understatement, she even took a picture to look at latter and requested no demanded that they tell her goodnight everyday so that the monster wouldn’t want to eat or take her away at night, that if they went into her room and told her goodnight, she becomes tasteless hence the giants wouldn’t want her for dinner. Kayden walked her to their room and closed the door before hugging her tightly, “Thank you so much, ive never seenn her that happy and its all thanks to you,” he whispered making her tear up and before he knew it, he had a river Nile flowing on his shoulder. “Damn it, I didn’t mean to make you cry,” he said smiling down at the figure holding him in a death grip, “well you did, you make it hard to e*****e you when you are being too nice,” she said scowling up at him.
