Isla and Eda has been going around in circles, building to building, street to street — yet nothing lead them anywhere. It was rather messed up considering for the past hour and a half they still could not find a trace of him. “I don’t understand why you had to do that.” Eda said breaking the silence, turning to face Isla. She had not been on board with the whole solution at all and she wasn’t going to let it go. “Don’t start.” Isla mumbled her back turned away from Eda. She was not in the mood to fight again, all she wished was to get this over with already. “Erasing her memory won’t get rid of the fact she sees ghost, Isla.” sighed Eda. Isla didn’t respond she simply remained silent then teleported herself out the building, Eda groaned she was so difficult and for what. Eda found Isla in front of the building they had been in walking away not even waiting on her, another groan left Eda’s lips. “The girl feels like she’s loosing her damn mind.” she argued appearing in front of Isla, stopped her from walking further. Isla glared at the ghost in front of her. “Don’t you think I know that? It’s f*****g messed up as it is and then this s**t happens!” the words left Isla’s mouth as a rant, her hands waving around with each word she spat out. Bitting back a few words Isla simply cursed walking by Eda, this — whatever it was — could wait. They had other pressing matters. Eda appeared in front of her once again, arms crossed with an intimidating stance Isla found annoying — Eda wanted them to talk about this now — knowing Isla and her behaviour’s she would avoid it for as long as she could drag it out, Eda hated it. “Yeah well, she’s basically tangled up in this at this point. What will you do?” “f**k if I knew, this would have been solved Eda!” “Don’t bite me.” Eda took deep breaths in and out hands held out at Isla, demonstrating the breathing procedure. Isla followed her lead, taking deep breaths in and out it helped a bit. “I seriously thought we would find him by now.” she mumbled a bit composed now as they walked down the street under the night sky. “Don’t you have super hearing or clairvoyance grim girl?” “We wouldn’t be here if that was the case!” Isla shouted, she was darn lucky the streets were empty at this time. “I better find that man quick.” mumbled to herself looking over at Isla, who took interest in kicking the life out a cardboard box. Eda shivered turning away, “before I am the one she beats to a pulp.” with that said, she left Isla teleporting herself — splitting up would be more effective with covering more ground, for her safety as well. The cardboard box lost its life, torn and brought down Isla looked around. Pushing the strands of her hair covering her face, “Eda?” she called out noticing her missing presence — how long had she been directing her anger to this box. She didn’t have to wait long as Eda reappeared looking panicked. Hastily she held onto Isla’s ear yanking it — for selfish reasons but she did not let the girl question her at all. Isla found herself standing in an empty highway. A few steps ahead of them was a car laying upside down, broken shards of glass all over the road. The drivers door was ripped off and a man was busy dragging the injured driver out — and it wasn’t out of good intentions as she noticed his eyes. He probably caused the accident too. Isla appeared beside the man at lightening speed kicking him by the hip he went falling hitting the light pole before he fell to the ground. Kneeling before the man on the ground — he was still breathing — she caught sight of the woman hanging upside down with the seatbelt preventing her from falling and breaking her neck, she bruise on her forehead was noticeable but the amount of blood creating a pool on the car roof was alarming. “Eda!” she turned back looking at Eda who immediately appeared beside her. Just like that Eda had taken over the man’s body, groaning he adjusted his aching body reaching over the seatbelt releasing her carefully then dragged her out the car. Isla stood turning back to the man with a death glare, he stood on his feet again holding onto his side glaring at her. The tug she felt on her pants stopped her from charging at the man and killing the thing on the spot. Isla tore her gaze away, staring at Eda who had her or his hand pointed at the other self invited man approaching them. How many of them were there, she tsked — turning her back completely on the man, her arms went around the man and woman careful not to directly touch them she teleported them away. Shining lights stung Eda’s—the man’s—eyes, she stood in front of a hospital. Looking over to the side she noticed Isla had already left them. With all the strength the injured man’s body could master, she moved his feet limping in the process with each step the unconscious woman in her arms. Once over the doors she began crying out for help with the man’s hoarse voice. Appearing back on the highway Isla held out her dagger eyeing the shorter man, she charged at him swinging the dagger at his retreating body with each attempt to pierce his heart. In their exchange Isla manage to pierce the man in the leg earning a hissed, his knee falling to the ground. She still had her grip on the dagger as she took note of the black blood oozing out. She held dread as she stared up looking into his black eyes, only then did she notice his stench was ten times worse than an average possessed human being. This thing had been living, eating away the man’s humanity for years — salvaging this man was pointless, nothing was there to save. The more evil spirits hosted on a human being the more they became less human, it wasn’t a parasite anymore it held the same position as a demon in the fresh. Isla pulled her thoughts together, gripping the dagger she attempted to pull it out and kill him already when she felt her shirt being harshly yanked, tossing her into the air and landing on the ground immediately. Isla hissed as she stared at the ground. She was too fixed on this demon man she forgot one important factor, the other piece of s**t beside him. She lifted her gaze from the ground noticing the taller man trying to pull the dagger out of short one, whose face held immense pain. The second he gripped the leather handle of the dagger he jolted away releasing the dagger — that was so stupid, a grim reaper would not carry around an average dagger. “Idoit.” Isla hissed standing behind him gripping onto her black katana, lunging it straight through back. His body fell to the ground leaving him unconscious but free, Disintegrating light fragments left his body along with the katana lunged through his back. She tore her gaze at the man, demon, that had been struggling to pull out the dagger from his leg. With her right foot, she pushed the dagger deeper into his rotten fresh, hissing in pain he held onto Isla’s leg squeezing her leg. She had to admit that was painful. Isla swang her now summoned katana at his neck, she could not exactly teleport out of this with him teleporting too — his hand bled as he gripped the katana, pushing into the dagger she pulled back slicing his hand open in the process of freeing the katana. Disregarding the pain the dagger caused in his hand, he painful pulled out the dagger tossing it to the ground. She appeared before him picking up the dagger. With both her trusty dagger and katana, she dodged the weak blow teleporting behind the man slicing open his calves earning grunts as he bled out staining the pants. Moving in speed she stood beside him, lunging the katana through his side he hissed, his punch dodged again he clinged onto his wound. Surrounding the man in all directions, Isla persisted landing cuts and stabs on the body. Appearing one second then out of sight, he aimless threw punches — the closest he came to punching her was brushing his knuckles on her shirt. Currently she stood before him glaring down at him as her katana was lunged straight through his heart, with her dagger deeply lunged in his neck. Twisting it the katana she pulled the dagger forward slicing his flesh open. Hanging to her side, hands bloody and black blood dripping down her katana and dagger she stared at the burning flesh before her. Landing on her knees Isla’s weapons vanished leaving her hands alone and bloody. Her gaze had not left her palms untill Eda knelt down in front of her a small smile on her face. Eda eyed her carelessly, noticing the amount of blood her clothing was drenched in, with a few bruising and her own blood on her cheek. Isla whispered, “I’m tired.” As soon as the words left her lip, her head dropped landing on Eda’s shoulder her entire body shut down — she exhausted her body. Nothing mattered even if she would wake up with a recollection of Eda’s memories, she needed this comfort from Eda right now.
