Expect the unexpected

Anna's POV -

“Are you kidding me Marcus?! It could be his last f**king chance and you let him chuck it away! “

I’m so angry with this ass hat of a mate of mine right now I can barely look at him, and that brother of mine .. he needs to be thinking of his own pack and what they need. If he accepts some stupid b*tch to shut the pack elders up I will surly loose it.

“What was I supposed to do babe, he offered and in fairness I need him tonight with everyone else going to this ball”

I glare at him, unable to speak words without wanting to physically punch him! 

He best not think I’m gonna put on my perfect Luna with the charming Alpha act tonight after this bull crap. 

“We are leaving in 5 minutes babe, the guys are outside in the cars”

I huff and grab my purse. I’m dressed elegantly in a silver lace overlay A line dress. I can smell his desire but I’m going to make him beg tonight if he wants to take me. Ahhh why am I even feeling that mate lust when I feel so angry at him. 

He smiles wickedly, catching a sent of my slight arousal.

“F**k you Marcus, if you want this tonight you’re gonna have to beg for it”

He pulls her close and kisses her mark making her shiver, and whispers.  “that can be done my Luna”

F**ker! He knows how to get me on his talking terms again. “Let’s go and get this over with so we can get back for you to show me how a Wolf begs”

After 30minutes or so they arrive at their neighbours pack house, it is decorated beautifully with flower garlands and fairy lights. There are wolves and human form werewolves everywhere! Goddesses this pack is huge! 

They walk through the arched door to find more stunning werewolves, dressed to impress. 

“I am going to the bar while you mingle dear” “OK my love”

Anna makes her way through the crowd, she spots a young woman at the bar surrounded by men. She looks comfortable and even though she looks like the most beautiful unmated female here they are not being creepy or lustful towards her. It’s like she is just one of the guys.

Anna noticed that she is laughing along with them but the laugh never seems to reach her eyes, intrigued she approaches her. 

“Hey, I’m Anna. Dated and mated but here for the party”

“Oh hi I am Elsie, undated, unmated and forever alone” she laughs again but still it does not reach her eyes. 

Anna sees what Elsie is drinking and orders 2 and gives one to Elsie. ”cheers, but can I say if you found him tonight I’d be worried he would of died on the spot with a heart attack.. girl you are a looker!” 

Elsie smiled sincerely and said “you know what... I’m sick of looking, let’s dance!” They down their drinks and head to the dance floor, twisting and winding their curves teasing the still unmated males. 

“Why am I drawn to her, it’s like we are meant to be in each other’s lives” Elsie asks her Wolf.

“ I know what you mean, she feels like home but not entirely”

Anna leans over and speaks loudly to Elsies ear to try and be heard over the loud music. “ I need a drink, you coming?”

She walks off towards the bar and Elsie follows her. They take their drinks to a small table and Elsie starts up a conversation. “So as your marked I’m assuming you are a Luna and here representing your pack?”

“Yes, I’m Luna to a small pack north of here. The White Wolf Pack, have you heard of us?”

Elsie tried not to show her shock or sorrow of what she knew of the White Wolf Pack, she nodded and said she would like to visit them and that she was in fact Alpha David’s Daughter, and one of his strongest warriors. 

Ann’s eyes grew wide, she had heard of this female Alpha blood warrior of the Silver moon pack, she did not expect it to be this beautiful woman in front of her at all, but now yes she could see it. She sat with grace and elegance but the males treated her as their equal and with full respect. Something only an unmarked female would get if she had proven her worth. Wow she is just incredible. 

Anna looked concerned as Marcus sped towards her, I’m sorry my love we need to return.

“What? What’s happened!” Anna shouted as Marcus swooped her up in a flash and headed to the exit without giving her the chance to say her goodbyes to her new friend.

Elsie feared they had been attacked. Ebony screamed in her head” you wanted to help them, move your ass. Mind link our Alpha now and go with them! They need us!”

Elsie's POV - 

As suggested, she linked her father and told him she would go with Alpha Marcus and Luna Anna. “ they need help Dad and it was still a no show on the mate front so I’m going where I’m needed “ he reluctantly agreed and said to call him as soon as she could.

Elsie raced after Anna and grabbed her arm forcing a growl from Marcus. “Oh stop it Marcus, this is Elsie the Silver Moon’s Alphas Daughter and famous female warrior “

He stood back a little flash of surprise and respect in his eyes, and allowed her to talk.

“Anna, I’m coming with you. I want to help you as a friend and as pack allies”

Anna smiled and hugged her, “thank you Elsie, you ride with me girl”

The drive back to White Wolf Pack seemed to take forever even though it was only 30 minutes. Marcus spoke in mind link to some of his warriors while Anna spoke to someone else. I sat silent watching the roads for rouges, those slippery little bastards like to jump out and make cars swerve off the road to ambush. 

We finally arrived, there were injured wolves scattered around the forecourt, some heading towards the pack hospital, either limping or being carried by others 

Sh!t I’m still dressed to kill -no pun intended, but in my haste to find Anna I didn’t change or grab any spare clothes. The fight was over so I attempted help one male get to the hospital by supporting him as he limped, a scent had caught my attention and I looked for it... what the hell was is that,  but before i could find it I heard an ear shattering growl ... Ebony jumped around my head screaming ... “MATE!”
