Ariana
''Hold on, i'm coming.'' I said.
I wasn't expecting anyone after school and I wondered who that was. None of my friends had informed me they would be coming and hearing the doorbell a few minutes after getting back home was surprising to say the least.
I opened the door and I was left speechless. Standing before me in all of his ridiculously handsome glory was the man I never expected to see in a while.
''Hi Ariana.'' Alex smiled, making my breath hitch in my throat..
His sparkling white teeth were enough to make my knees weak and perfectly outlined jaw made him more good looking. His sculptured handsome face was enough to leave me gasping for breath but I knew I had to control myself if I didn't want to make a fool out of myself.
''Are you okay?'' Alex asked with a worried look on his face in an instant.
''No!... I mean, yes… yes, I'm okay. Sorry, my apologies, would you like to come in?'' I asked.
'Yes please, please daddy, come in.' my subconscious begged.
''Bad girl! Shut it.'' I unknowingly murmured audibly.
''What did you say?'' Alex asked.
''Oh nothing.'' I responded instantly, silently beating up myself.
This was getting awkward by the minute and the only reason I was still standing on my feet was due to the fact that I was holding the door handle, if not I would have crashed to the ground.
''O…kay.. if you say so. Your father was very worried about you that's why i'm here to check up on you.'' Alex smiled.
His smile was so disarming that Ariana's legs shook upon seeing it. She couldn't quite understand why one person would be so handsome.
''Err… thank you.'' Ariana smiled.
They stayed in awkward silence for several minutes, each with their own thoughts until a passing car disrupted their thoughts.
''I should get going. Please take care of yourself Ariana.'' Alex smiled after a few moments.
I knew I was supposed to invite him in, but I wan sure if my self control was strong enough to stop me from throwing myself at him this afternoon, and so I remained positioned before the door.
I felt tongue-tied after that smile that I couldn't even utter a word and was content to just watch his face.
''See you around.'' he winked in a teasing manner like he always does, efore walking back to his car.
If only he knew how much sleepless night that cursed wink had caused me since I could remember.
Ariana shut the door, sliding to the ground as she tried to catch her breath. That had been one of the most intense things she had ever been through and she was quite glad that she had gone through with it.
Doesn't he know the effect he has on me?
I didn't quite know what he thought about me but I could swear that I saw his eyes flash a bit when I smiled. I dashed the hope of something ever blossoming between us but I just couldn't take my mind off him. He was very addictive to say the least and lord knows I want to become his so bad.
'Get your head back together Ariana, he isn't for you.’
Sighing, I walked back to my room. I had some assignments to do anyway and the earlier I began with it, the better for me. I shouldn't be giving thoughts about Alexander but I just couldn't stop myself from thinking about him. It was getting too much and I needed to stop.
Sitting at my desk, I worked on my assignment but still, the thoughts of Alexander kept coming to my mind and deep down, I had a feeling that fate was about to bring us together but in what way, I had no idea.
Alexander
Gosh! I thought I could actually control myself but I could tell from the look in her eyes that she saw through my every act. It was very embarrassing to say the least but I guess what they say is true, you can not really hide emotions. There are times when they will get the better of you and they surely did in the case of Ariana.
Being a divorcee in my thirties wasn't something I envisioned for my life but I guess we couldn't see what the future held for us. We just have to go with the flow and hope that we can survive it all.
''Gosh! I have to stop thinking about Ariana this way. Man, she's only a kid.''
I hit the dashboard of my car in frustration as my mind went through different things all at the same time.
Just then, my phone gave a small beep, indicating I had a call. Glancing at the caller ID, I discovered it was Stewart calling. I had no doubt that he wanted to find out how everything went.
''Did you go?'' he asked as soon as I picked the call.
''Yes. She's fine.'' I smiled.
''Okay, thank you so much man.'' Stewart said.
''It's fine man, she's my god daughter after all.''
''Right! That's what i wanted to find out, thank you man.''
''You're welcome. Alright then, see you around.'' I said before cutting the call.
Driving back home, I thought about when my first attraction for Ariana began and I realized that it was when she was eighteen and had bloomed into a beautiful woman.
I had long been fond of Ariana, and has been her godfather since she was born. I think my attraction for Ariana bloomed when she began to mature, and germinated into pure lust after she clocked eighteen. That was the moment when I knew that there was no going back for me. I was completely lost with nothing else to do.
Each time I closed my eyes, her face was what I saw. The worst part was that I didn't know what to do anymore. The only thing I could do was just to suck in my feelings for her before I brought disgrace to myself.
I drove through the garage, finally putting the car to a stop. I sat in for a while, trying to clear my head of all thoughts of Ariana but it was proving difficult to do.
'Would just have to bear it then.' I sighed.
Climbing out of my car, I made my way inside, hoping that I could find a solution to these growing thoughts about the girl I was attracted to.

Ariana
I called my Dad and the main reason was because I wanted to know why he had sent his friend to come check on me even when I had told him that I was fine. I knew he was just being a caring father but still, the feeling of being treated like a child was very annoying.
''Dad! You really didn't have to send Alex over, i told you i am fine.'' I said as soon as he picked the call.
''Oh Hell no! You know young lady, I am not going to take that. I assume he was there.'' Stewart chuckled.
''Yes, he was. Like you don't already know that, he left a few minutes ago but seriously Dad, you've got to believe me when i tell you that i am okay.''
I took a deep breath, trying to expel all of the pent up emotions within me. It wasn't easy when you have an overprotective father and my father was a good example.
''I'm sorry love but i just wanted to look out for you, I'm sorry.'' he smiled.
''It's okay. I need to catch some sleep now, i'm feeling drowsy.''
''Sure love, talk to you later. Love you.'' he said before cutting the call.
Placing my phone on the bedside table, I fell into a dreamless sleep.
The next day came without any fanfare. It was another day for a series of classes and lord knows I really wasn't looking forward to it.
————-
An hour later, I left the house, heading towards the main road where I could catch a bus that'll take me to school. Luckily for me, I had only two classes that day so I didn't need to stay till the day ended.
Twenty minutes later, I was within the school grounds. A tap at my back startled me a bit. Turning around, I discovered it was my friend Britteny with a smile on her face.
''Hey pretty.'' she smiled.
Britteny had been my friend for as long as I could remember. She had been with me through the good and the bad times and I would never trade our friendship for anything in the world.
''Hi. How are you?'' I smiled.
''I'm not fine. I really do not want to be here today but i guess we have no choice but to.'' she sighed.
''Sorry. I just have two classes today and that's it. Guess you aren't so lucky after all.'' I laughed.
We walked into the building together, heading to our different classes. Today was the day when we had different classes. She majored in the sciences while I was in the arts.
''See you around babe.'' she smiled.
I made my way towards my class, heading to the back where I usually sat. I was the kind of person that didn't want any drama. I was all for peace.
The class droned on and on and soon, I was done for the day. I headed back home, happy to be going back.
I made myself some food, digging in as soon as it was ready. An hour later, there was a knock on my door. I found this strange because I wasn't expecting anyone at all and I knew it wasn't Alex or was it?
I made my way towards the door, standing still to see if I could find out who was at the other side of the door. I listened as best as I could but still, I couldn't identify the person who was at the other side of the door.
Braving it, I opened the door but I got the shock of my life when two guys forced their way into my apartment. I was scared, petrified even. I had never spoken to these guys before and so, I had no idea why they were here.
''What do you want?!'' I asked with the little courage I could muster, they both looked like they could crush me with a finger.
I knew them to be the local boys who usually walked out the street aimlessly without doing anything. They also attended my school and the most surprising part of it all was that I never talked to them and so, I had no idea why they were here.
''Get out of my house.'' I screamed.
One of them walked towards me, touching my breast while the other howled in laughter. I felt sick to the stomach and I had to force down the bile threatening to rise to the surface. I was powerless to these two boys who touched me in places I never imagined.
''Watch your back, pretty girl, we'll be coming back for the full meal.'' one of them said.
Soon, they left. I burst out crying, crying for the love and care I needed. I felt used, dirty and vile but one thing i was grateful for was that i wasn't r***d.
This was too much for me to keep. I needed to tell someone and my father was the only person I could trust.
''Baby… oh my gosh! Baby, what's wrong.'' Dad said into the phone in fright as soon as he heard me crying.
He was frantic now, pacing from one point to the other as he thought about the different scenarios his daughter could be in.
''I was just assaulted by two guys from my school.'' I cried.
Stewart growled, anger and frustration rolling off him in waves. This was too much, too much for his daughter to handle. At that moment, he just wanted to hit something to get it off his chest. He was livid.
''Calm down baby, please calm down. I'm sending help.'' Stewart said.
''I need you here Dad, I'm scared. Please. i need you.'' I cried as I huddled against the wall and buried my head in my knees.
Stewart was caught up in a hard place now with nowhere to turn to. He needed to see his daughter but at the same time his work wouldn't allow him to do that. It was very frustrating to say the lease.
''I'm going to send Alex over. He is the only person i trust.'' he sighed.
''What?! Why Alex?'' I demanded, pausing my stream of tears.
''Ariana, you should understand that he isn't only my friend, he is also your godfather. He knows you as much as i do.'' he said.
''Fine!'' I mumbled. In as much as I’d rather not have Alex near me because of my stupid body, he was like the only man I can trust around me right now, apart from my father. I’m very sure Alex would never do a thing to me, and I really needed some sort of conformity right now.
I ended the call soon, crying myself to sleep. I needed help and I really hoped that it was coming soon.
