Chapter 13Jesse and Emma lingered over their coffee for over an hour, and Jesse hoped that at least some of her fears were assuaged before they returned to the house. He supposed the only way to truly make her feel better was to solve the problem immediately, with as little pain and inconvenience as possible. Except, things never seemed to work out that way.
