He closed his fingers around the chains supporting him, his muscles automatically tensing, bracing for what would come next. “Yes, Sir.” The hurlbat was the one weapon in the world that could kill Jesse. If Gideon drove it into his chest, it would slice through his heart, probably killing him instantly.
