I felt a shiver run through my body, sharp and sudden, as if someone had whispered my name in the dark. The silence of the apartment pressed against me, heavy, almost watchful. I collapsed onto the bed, my body drained but my mind restless, replaying Sebastian’s fury and Ian’s warning. Secrets. Everyone had them, but Sebastian’s felt heavier, chained to something I couldn’t see. I slowly turned the pen in my hand, the golden letters reflecting the dim light. Rose. The name echoed in my mind, louder than the surrounding silence. I knew I'd seen it before, but the memory had vanished like smoke through my fingers. It was simply something that seemed locked away in a safe, chained shut, deep within my mind. I lay back on the bed, staring at the ceiling, but my thoughts refused to quiet down
