Sebastian's POV I had no intention of following her. At least, that's what I told myself when I realized my steps were mirroring hers, keeping me in the shadows as she and a somewhat attractive guy walked toward Sofia's old apartment. I stayed behind, hidden, watching the way she smiled at him: forced, strained, but a smile nonetheless. For some reason, I told myself it was for her safety, that James's men could be anywhere, but the truth was harder to accept: I wanted to know. I wanted to hear what she said when she wasn't looking at me.
