I was caught aback by the obligation to participate in a whole masquerade event when I found out that I was required to attend the event. Even though I wasn't particularly adept at the whole process of dressing up and putting on make-up, they still wanted me to go. They wanted me to leave at this point. Ricardo had expressed an interest in speaking with me at the ball, and as a consequence, I didn't have much of a choice in the matter. Nevertheless, I will continue to say so even though I don't have much of a choice in the matter.
