Hey Readers! Important note:
From here on forward, Our lovely Azure will be displayed as Carla :)
-------------------------------------
Carla P.O.V
I couldn't believe what I actually just witnessed.
What the hell was that?!!
It sounded like someone was being murdered or something.
-10 Minutes earlier-
"Xavier! Please!" I heard a girl shouting from the top of her lungs as I got out of the shower.
What the hell was going on? I heard her begging him over and over again. I knew Xavier was a Don and that they usually tortured their prisoners to get some answers out of them, but didn't that usually happen in the armory building or something? Why the hell was he torturing a woman up here in his room? Was this not about the family or what?
I quickly threw on some clothes before quietly stalking out of my room and toward his door. I leaned in as close as I could to listen to what he was interrogating her about, but all I could hear was her begging him. I decided that enough was enough. If he wanted to interrogate a woman he could at the very least do it with all the applicable ranked members of the family present!
I slowly curled my hand around the doorknob and pushed the door open just to see one of my worst nightmares unfolding right in front of me.
Jesus!
I was staring back at Xavier, looking him deeply in the eyes as he and the girl were naked and he stood behind her, my mind leaving out no detail for what was actually going on in here.
"Ugh! Wrong room! Go clean the other one maid!" the girl shouted. I felt sick to the stomach, ready to throw up. I really did not need to see that at all! I turned on my heel and sped back to my room as fast as I could, shutting the door behind me and running over to the bathroom. Why was I such a nosey person and who the f**k was this chickita to call me a f*****g maid?! She seriously doesn't know that I can kill her with just a flick of my wrist!
I was boiling over with so many mixed emotions. I seriously didn't know how to f*****g deal with all of this. I walked over to the basin and quickly gave my face a rinse down. Okay ... maybe I just actually need some fresh air or something. I still couldn't understand how that girl found whatever activity they were doing pleasurable?! Like seriously, looks like he was hurting her!
I was brought from my thoughts by two soft knocks on the door. I looked over to the door, debating whether or not I should open it. I hung my head in defeat as I dragged my feet over to the door and opened it up, revealing a very awkward-looking Xavier.
-Present-
"Carla! I Uhm, did you need something?" Xavier asked me, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. I just stared at him, trying to decipher what he meant? Did he seriously come over here to ask me if I needed something? I must have had a visibly confused expression as he elaborated a bit further, "You know ... when you came knocking or barging through my door!" he said a little more clearly.
I scoffed - Ha! Barging!
"Yeah, I wanted to actually ask the two of you to keep it down a bit, I knew it was a mistake to take you up on your offer to come and live here if this is the noise I'll get accustomed to every day!" I retorted back tartly, rolling my eyes. My actions seemed to seriously piss Xavier off as his face scrunched together and got red.
Oh s**t! I might have gone a little way too far...
"What I do in the privacy of my residence has absolutely nothing to do with you, Carla! You are simply a guest here until you can figure out where the hell you'll be living next, okay?! If you feel so insecure about what I do in my spare time then you are more than welcome to take up residence with Xander, from what I understand he also has a spare room available!" Xavier shouted back at me before turning on his heel and marching away.
Anger rolled off of me in waves. It really took some form of restraint to not kick his ass right then and there. No one dares to talk to me that way! Ever!
My phone ringing brought me from my murderous scowl. Without even looking at the caller ID, I flipped it open and answered.
"What?!" I demanded through the phone.
"Jesus, who pissed you off so early in the mission?!" Came Richardo's voice from the other side of the phone.
I rolled my eyes, "No one" I muttered, but Richardo knew me a little too well, he also knew me well enough to know not to press me on matters I had no interest in talking about.
"Clearly you and Xavier are already getting along so well! Anyway, my father asked me to phone you. He is pleased with the progress that you've made, he has a maintenance worker who works as a spy, currently on the Cortez mansion. You will be receiving supplies from Marco. First off, you need to find Xavier's office and implant listening devices in there." Richardo instructed.
I rolled my eyes. f*****g great!
"How am I supposed to get in there without being noticed. Also, won't it look a little too fishy if a maintenance worker hands me a mysterious bag?!" I enquired.
"f**k, this is the part I really didn't want to explain to you" I heard Richardo groan before he continued on.
"Obviously, you will need to have him fall in love with you, he'll obviously show you around the mansion, you could even go searching for him and accidentally stumble into his office. I don't care how you do it - believe me, I am not wanting any of those details. You will install those devices at the next council meeting. He will most definitely not be in his office. As for the bag, no, a light in your room will need to be fixed, you won't be in your room, the bag will be left under the bed for you. You need to work smart with this one Azure." Richardo pleaded with me.
"Don't worry, as soon as I kick his ass, I am surely going to lay a new one on you, for ever doubting my skills!" I said before cutting the call, throwing my phone somewhere on the bed. I quickly put on some shoes, deciding that a much-needed walk in the gardens was due. I seriously needed to calm myself down. I didn't want to fail this mission just because Xavier and I had a tiff.
As I walked out of the huge building, I clearly did not pay any attention to my surroundings as I walked face-first into a huge rock-hard chest.
"Hey! Careful there! My brother will surely kill me if these rock-hard abs give you a concussion!" Xander joked.
Ugh! Please not! I was seriously not winning today!
