As I unzipped my jeans, my body buzzing with a need I couldn’t ignore, I looked down at Elena, expecting to see her eyes filled with the same desire I felt. But instead, I was met with a sight that both frustrated and amused me in equal measure—her eyes were closed, her breathing was calm, and her lips were slightly parted as she drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep.
I stared at her in disbelief. How could she fall asleep at a moment like this? The heat between us had been so intense, the air thick with everything unsaid. And yet, here she was, completely out of it, lost in her exhaustion. I could feel a reluctant smile creeping onto my face. Elena never failed to surprise me.
