Elena POV After Celia left, I sat on the edge of my bed, the weight of her confession heavy on my shoulders. The room felt eerily quiet, like it was holding its breath with me. I took a deep breath, trying to shake off the emptiness settling in my chest. I needed to clear my head, to get out of this room and focus on something else. I walked into the kitchen and saw that Thalia had left a plate of food on the counter. There was some delicious soup and bagels—half topped with bacon and mushrooms, the other half with figs and yogurt.
