The Beginning

It was exactly 6:45 am, when my mom drew open the curtains and almost blinded me as a reminder that I had a new day in a new school to begin,reluctantly I got out of bed and headed to the bathroom,was done a few minutes later and was at the table doing justice to the noodles I had for breakfast. Oh I’m Tripp and did I forget to introduce my younger siblings Timmy my little brother who was in the 10th grade and Diane my little sister in the 7th grade who were also at the table.

Moments later we hoped out of the school bus and waved each other to our different classes which meant that I was in for a whole treat.... I was 2 minutes late for my math class which meant I had to walk in when everyone was seated and of course had all eyes on me.

Teachers POV:ccc

Hello there young man, it appears you’re late and will not be tolerated (notices the newness)it appears you’re new here so take a seat

Me: thank you sir

Back to My POV:

I take a seat and start to hear whispers behind me,and and the feeling of paper ball on the back of my head

Turns back slowly and gives a death stare at the one who threw it and whispers : Seriously? Even on my first day.

I never knew I was in for a surprise.......

After the bell rung I was headed to the cafeteria when I got smacked onto a locker by the same guy who tried to distract in math class

Nate: So you think you can come up here and do as you like,look here pretty boy we run this class

Hysterical laughter from his dum friends

Well that doesn’t mean you can distract me during class

Nate: I’ll let you go simply cos it’s your first day, but you’ll hear from me if you try anything funny(laughs and bounces away)

I was about to get up when I a nerdy guy approached and offered to help me up, hesitantly I got up and he introduced himself

Andie: Hi I’m Andie, saw what happened in math class

Don’t let’ em get to you okay they’re just jerks

Me: I know right? I was on my way to get lunch when he.....

Andie: I saw everything

( Me: slightly annoyed by the interruption)

Let’s have lunch .

Weeks passed and I gradually got into the system, but was still bullied by nate and his friends. It got worse when I signed up for the basketball team tryouts which made him furious but he often hid it cos of the coach.

A big game was approaching and the tryouts had been set which I got ready for in the boys locker room, sat on a bench, a bit anxious but was calm cos Andie sat next to me and provided all the support I needed. not until the doofus walked in.

Nate: Hey there pretty boy, ready for the try outs?

Me: Well what’s it to you?

My sarcasm enraged Nate and before I could say jack Robert I got slammed to the wall(I could almost swear I felt a crack in my spine) meanwhile I could see Andie being held down by one of the bullies )

Nate:(Furious) Listen weirdo, even if you make the team you’ll never be able to play the big game cos you’ll never be good enough, even coach knows that too so don’t act all smart (drop me with force) anyway try not to get thrown off balance cos we’re coming for you whimp(laughs and walks away with his friends)

Me: Andie are you okay

Andie: I think I should be asking you c’mon let’s go

Me:Actually I’m not,....I’m not good enough maybe be I should just go home an...........

Andie: (snaps fingers across my face)Snap our of it bro that’s what the doofus wants you to think so get your stuff and let’s go.

Me: (Sluggishly)ok..ok

During the tryouts

I was able to score Nate’s team 1:0 and that was when Nate and his friends decided to ruin my life,I was about to dunk when Nate rammed me with his shoulder causing me to fall and sprain my knee.

This made the crowd roar in fear, the game had ended abruptly and I was rushed to the school clinic, the last sight I could catch Was the satisfied smile on nate’s face before I totally blacked out.
