I returned home to the usual silence and loneliness—something I had long since grown accustomed to. Living alone all this time, there wasn’t much I could do about it. At least not now. After taking a quick bath, I went straight to bed. My secretary was so punctual and efficient that I had no pending tasks to keep me occupied. With nothing left to do, I lay there, staring at the ceiling, replaying the events of the day in my mind. I didn’t even realize when I had fallen asleep. Surprisingly, I woke up at 6 a.m., something I didn’t know I was capable of. I had such a good dream that waking up hadn’t even crossed my mind. I went through my usual morning routine—brushing my teeth, taking a shower, and changing into one of my custom-made suits. It was my standard routine, but I hadn’t noticed
