CHAPTER 3

1022 Words
Cailean's POV I woke up in an unfamiliar room wearing a white silk nightgown. I tried to move, but it leads to back pain that inhibits me from doing so. I remained in a lying position as I thoroughly scanned the room to whichever my eyes could reach. The room is so big, and I can say whoever owns this house has excellent taste in architecture, and the budget wasn't an issue. It was designed to perfection, and I can say that everything in this room is expensive. Even this king-size bed that I'm on right now, it's so freakin' comfortable. As I reached the window, my eyes hung on it for a while, got drawn by the beauty of the perfect full moon. Then I heard the door open, pulling my attention, and as I veered my head, I saw two men enter. They are both tall and stunningly handsome, but the other guy caught my attention more. The younger one. He is most likely my age, has a very manly and masculine build, a perfect jawline like one of Calvin Klein's supermodel hotties! With dark blonde hair, which compliments his grey eyes. Wait, grey eyes?! "I see you're awake. How are you feeling?" The older man asked. But I couldn't utter any words. I had a combo of emotions inside me that I couldn't understand, so I ended up gawking at him. "Oh, how rude of me; let me introduce myself first. I am William, Doctor William, but it's okay to call me Will, and this guy beside me is Alp… I mean Dylan. May I know your name if it's not that much to ask?" He said in a very polite manner, and his kind approach made me feel at ease—a bit. "I'm Cailean, but you can call me Cai." I immediately answered, "Where am I?" I added. "You are in my house," The hottie guy Dylan answered. "I see. But how did I end up here? Who changed my clothes? And…" I didn't finish my sentence because I got interrupted by a throbbing pain in my head. When I place my hand on the site of pain, that's the only time I realized that there was a bandage wrapped around my head. Doctor William must have sensed the panic in me, so he began explaining, "Dylan saw you in the woods last night unconscious and brought you here. You have a big cut on your forehead. That's why you have a bandage around your head. But there's nothing for you to worry about, you are out of danger now, and you will be as good as new in a few days. I will give you another dose of pain reliever to ease all the pain that you're having" "Thank you, doc. I think I owe you for saving my life." I replied and offered him a smile that came out weak. "You don't owe me anything. It's my job. I will leave you now to your real savior." He told me with a bright smile and left the room. It's just me and Dylan in the room. He didn't say anything after Will left; instead, he walked towards the dresser, dragged the chair, and placed it beside my bed. My heart skipped a beat as soon as he sat down on the chair close to me. I felt nervous, a bit scared, and excited at the same time. I really can't explain this emotional cocktail! "So, what were you doing in the woods alone at night?" Dylan asked in a serious voice while raising an eyebrow. I'm not sure if he's trying to intimidate me, but I find it charming. "Well… Uhm… I was on my way to meet my friends when I decided to take the road to the woods to avoid traffic, and then an animal attacked me. Well, there was a howl at first then—-" Dylan interrupted me with a question. "An animal?" "Yes, an animal," I answered and continued my story. "It kinda looks like a wolf, but the size is quite big compared to a normal wolf, so I am not really sure. I hit my car on a tree and passed out for a while. When I regained consciousness, I ran as fast as I could when I saw the feral animal again looking at me through the window on the passenger side. I thought it was the end for me, but then…" I paused and looked at him in the eyes. "… I saw those beautiful sets of grey eyes, and all of a sudden, I felt safe." As I completed my sentence, I saw a hint of lust in his eyes. But was it really lust, or am I just imagining? Am I that attracted to him to imagine such a thing?! Oh my god, this is ridiculous! The room was filled with nothing but utter silence for a few seconds before Dylan decided to talk. "If that's the case, you have to stay at my house, and you are not allowed to leave until I say so." He said in a very commanding tone. "Excuse me?!" I blurted out and pushed myself to sit down. Thanks to the pain reliever doc gave me, my body is not in so much pain anymore. It's like a wonder drug. "You heard me. And my words are final," he said firmly. "You cannot just keep me here?! I don't even know you! I have family and friends waiting for me. You can't do this!" I protested and grabbed his wrist when I saw him starting to stand up and about to move away. As soon as I made contact with his skin, a tingling sensation ran down through my spine, and it felt terrific. He jerked his hand from my touch as if he got burned by my touch, and he started leaning down, closing the space between us. Close enough to feel his warm minty breath on my face. He slowly moved his lips to my ear and whispered, "I found you. You are mine. ONLY MINE!"
