Cailean’s POV
My world had stopped turning after hearing my mom's confession. Was this some kind of a sick joke? I wriggled my head from side to side before I tried to open my mouth to speak, but I closed it again and just ended up staring at my mom with my mouth agape from the shocking news.
"Cailean, I know this is hard for you, but I am hoping that you will understand why I had to keep the truth from you. When I saw the mark on your neck, it means that my time has already run out. You have to know." She said, then hugged me.
