Emily...
Her head was hurting.
"Em? Hey Emily, wake up?" Someone whispered causing her to groan.
She tried opening her eyes but her eyelids felt like they were glued to her face.
What the heck happened?
She tried again, concentrating her strength on them and this time it worked.
The room was dimly lit and she had to blink rapidly to adjust.
She recognized herself to be in some kind of cage before looking through the bars.
Finally, she could see several objects like a chair behind a table with a desk lamp which turned out to be the source of light.
"Emily?" Someone whispered causing
her to whip her head in that direction.
A woman sat in a similar cage looking through the bars at her.
"How do you know my name?" She demanded immediately, fear coursing in her veins.
"Don't feel flattered. I didn't remember your name at first until my Alpha kept saying it. We met few months ago in the forest"
She thought hard but truthfully all this thinking was hurting her head.
"Sorry, I don't remember who you are" Em whispered causing the girl to shrug.
"The name's Melissa" she said causing Em's eyes to widen in recognition.
"Melissa?" Em whispered in disbelief causing Mel to roll her eyes.
"I just said that. I think you might have a brain damage" she replied with sarcasm dripping her words.
Em felt the throbbing reduce causing her to breathe a sigh of relief.
"What's going on, Mel? Do you have any idea why we're being held captive" Em said in fear causing Mel to whisper a no.
"What were you doing before you got captured?" Mel asked causing tears to immediately fill Emily's eyes.
"I'm supposed to be on my honeymoon" Em managed to whisper before sobbing out loudly.
"Well I'm supposed to be on a plane to Hawaii for a well deserved vacation" Mel said with a groan before the door to the room opened causing both girls to immediately quiet down.
About three men looking to be about six feet entered the room.
Each of them built like a wall.
Emily felt adrenaline course through her veins watching the men come towards her.
Two of them even had scary face tattoos causing Em to shrink further into her cage.
The man without the face tattoos stepped forward before crouching before her.
"I'm Alpha Ben and you're going to be making me a formula" he said causing Em to scrunch her nose in disgust.
Alpha Ben has a bad breath.
"I want you to make a formula that can kill peltgras swiftly" Alpha Ben said causing Emily to scoff.
"I'm not making anything for anyone. I'm done with that lifestyle so I'm sorry for wasting your time"
Alpha Ben hummed causing Em to gulp in fear.
"They told me you were going to be difficult but it's people like you that makes life worth living" he said before speaking to the two men in another language.
They both nodded at what Alpha Ben said before walking towards Mel.
"Hey Melissa, I hope you don't mind being an example to your friend here, right?" Alpha Ben said to Mel while keeping his gaze trained on Emily.
Mel's cage was yanked open and she was pulled out like a rag doll.
Mel screamed while the men tore off her clothes causing Em to panic.
"What are you doing? Let her go" Emily said while panicking causing Alpha Ben to chuckle.
"Don't worry, you're next"
Mel was naked now and was currently being strapped on the table causing Emily to scream at them.
"Let her go. Stop, I'll do what you want just let her go" she screamed causing Alpha Ben to raise his hand.
"That's enough, boys" Alpha Ben said before walking towards the men.
"One of you should show our guest where she'll be working" he said walking towards the door.
"I'll need a sample in order to make the formula" Em said causing Alpha Ben to hum.
"That's what she's for" he said pointing at a naked Mel before exiting the room.
"Wait, hold on I'm not using my friend as a..." Emily was interrupted by the men walking towards her causing her to shrink further into the cage.
They yanked her cage open before pulling her out as well.
She screamed causing one of them to clamp his hand over his mouth.
She bit him hard but he didn't even flinch making Em wander just how strong peltgras were.
She was thrown into a room before the door was shut loudly.
Em whimpered in pain as she stood up.
It was a white room similar to a Lab.
Every single lab item was present except the Lab rat.
The door opened again causing Em to whimper and step away from the door in fear.
Alpha Ben stepped into the room with a naked and unconscious Mel.
He dumped her on a bed there before smiling sadistically at Em.
"How's the Lab? I hope it's to your liking"
"Mel will not be a Lab rat"
"Fine, then I'll get a kid" he said nonchalantly causing Em's eyes to widen in panic.
"You can't do that. Besides, I need a consenting adult in order make the formula since adults have a stronger immune system so making a formula that can kill..."
"Since you don't need a kid, Mel will be the consenting adult" Alpha Ben said before turning his back to leave.
"She needs to sign the consent documents..." Em said causing the Alpha to pause.
"The wolves didn't sign any consent documents so Melissa doesn't need the documents as well. I'm giving you a week so if I were you, I'll begin immediately" he said before leaving shutting the door behind him.
Emily immediately rushed to Mel and kept two fingers on her neck to check her pulse.
She breathed a sigh of relief after feeling the thrumming.
Mel is alive...for now.
