“I need to get better for my princess. I need to get better for her," I chanted my now sanity mantra after I fought the illusions. For a minute, I actually believed that she was right here with me. Her kisses felt so real yet surreal. The tenderness in her voice was out of this world, it felt so familiar yet so far away.
