AFEENA'S P.O.V:
"No give me. It's mine"
"No. It's mine"
"I will just take some selfies and give you back"
"That's exactly what I am going to do too"
Maryam and Tariq have been fighting for 30 minutes over a selfie stick
"For God's sake guys just share it" I yelled at them
"No way. I'm the eldest so I should use it first" Maryam said
"No. I am the youngest so I should use it first" Tariq opposed pulling the selfie stick.
I rolled my eyes. I stood up and made my way downstairs. I just couldn't take it anymore.
Abba and Ummi are away on a business trip and now the house is a ruckus. I don't know why Ahmed is so quiet. He is the eldest but yet he acts like the youngest who doesn't have a saying in anything.
I met Sadiq and Bilkisu playing together peacefully and I smiled. I wish Maryam and Tariq could be like that. Not fighting and work together for once but it is just like saying that a lion is a vegeterian which is really impossible.
"Where's Ahmed?" I asked them squatting close to them
"He is in the garden I think" Sadiq replied and Bilkisu smiled
"Don't forget to clean up" I said to them as I made my way to the garden
"We won't!" Bilkisu replied
"Assalamu Alaikum" I salamed as I entered a small hut in the garden
"Wa'alaikumus salam" he replied
"Akhee Ahmed. What are you doing here?" I asked him as I sat down
"Umm. Nothing. Just thinking about life" he replied
"Ok. If you say so" I said and we both stayed in a comfortable silence.
"Ahmed I am bored" I whined
"So?" He asked
"Let's go out" I suggested
"We can't leave the kids at home alone." He said
"Maryam and Tariq will be fighting and not take care of them. You know that" he quickly added
"Look at you. As if u really look after them" I said rolling my eyes and he laughed
"How about we all go out to the park?" I gave another suggestion
"Ok. Let's go. I'll go get ready. And you girls shouldn't waste my time" he said and I smiled
"Ok" I quickly replied
I went in and got the kids ready. Maryam was still applying makeup and Tariq was brushing his hair. I mean come on. We are going to the park not some fashion show
They were finally done and I made sure I locked up the house this time because Ahmad gave the workers a day off
When we arrived, Bilkisu and Sadiq went to the playground while Ameera coincidentally met a friend of hers and they went to play.
Maryam was busy taking selfies while Tariq was just typing on his phone and after a few minutes he will answer a call and continue typing.
Ahmed and I were just sitting down on a bench looking at them
We both chit chatted till it was almost time for Maghrib prayer. We decided to leave. When we went back home, I bathed Ameera and dressed her in her cute PJ's. I must admit all her PJ's are cute.
We bought snacks near the park earlier and.everyone was stuffed so we didn't bother to make dinner.
I tucked her in "Goodnight best Ukhti ever!"
She said and hugged me. I smiled and kissed her cheek
"I love you" she said
"I love you more baby" I replied as I kissed both her cheeks
I switched off her lights and headed to my room. I freshened up and prayed Maghrib and Isha before I retired for the night.
