I feel the stinging of the wounds on my arms, wounds Maya is cleaning right now and cursing under her breath as she does this, while I'm stupidly numb beside her. Did this just happen? Did this all just happen? Did we actually kill someone? Was Alyonna anything but human? How will this affect us? Why did this all start and why did it go downhill like this?
