THIRTEEN Oliver arrived just in time for the 7:30 partner meeting. He greeted his staff cordially before grabbing a handful of pistachios and a pen for the mad dash into the conference room. Shortly before 8:15, the meeting adjourned. Oliver chatted with a few of the partnership team from the twenty-fourth floor before retiring to his suite one floor above overlooking the Willamette River. While watching the ships ply the river below, he devoured a bagel with smoked salmon spread that Callie had prepared in the kitchen that morning over coffee for his morning meal. “Got a minute?” pined a voice into the suite.
