“Huh? What did you say?" He asked me as I realized what I just barely whispered to him. Thankfully, I wasn't audible enough.
“I said I don't know you!" I replied, still taken aback by his informal demeanor and what he said. But I nodded and gave him a polite smile and I wished for every memory with Talon to move to the back of my head.
“Oh, I see! That's so bad!" He stated before slumping into the couch, sitting beside me which was just too close for my liking. I was in Emily's house and I didn't want to seem rude with this young man who could be her visitor or someone she knows so I didn't move and just beared the discomfort that came with him sitting too close.
