Only Aatish and Aavya were present in the ward. Rudraksh was completing the discharge formalities, so the entire ward was quiet.
Aatish’s deep, cold eyes were fixed on Aavya, who was quietly doing something on her phone.
After thinking for a moment, a devilish smile appeared on Aatish’s lips. In his sharp voice, he ordered, “I’m thirsty. Bring me some water.”
Aavya’s attention was on her phone, but she didn’t react at all, as if she hadn’t heard anything. Aatish glared at her in anger, then slammed his hand on the bed and said, “Can’t you hear me? I said, I’m thirsty. Bring me water.”
Silently, Aavya got up from her place, poured water into a glass, and placed it in front of Aatish.
Seeing that Aavya was obeying him, Aatish felt quite satisfied. But he didn’t pick up the glass and said coldly, “I don’t want this water.”
Aavya, irritated, put the glass on the table. As soon as she sat back down, Aatish, with the same devilish smile, said, “I suddenly feel thirsty. Bring me water.”
Gritting her teeth, Aavya got up again and offered him water, but Aatish refused once more. Now, he was thoroughly enjoying this game.
This was the eighth time Aatish had refused water. Aavya clenched her fist in anger, about to smash the glass on his head, when suddenly the ward door opened and Rudraksh entered.
Seeing Aavya so angry, Rudraksh raised his eyebrows and glared at Aatish, “Were you trying to trouble her?”
Aatish raised an eyebrow and said, “How could I trouble this weak person? She got tired just after lifting water eight times. Is she really worthy of being my bodyguard? I’d rather have house servants than her.”
Aavya clenched her fist at the insult but didn’t react.
Rudraksh was about to say something to Aatish, but Aatish stood up from his place.
After Aatish left, Rudraksh took a deep breath and said, “You can go home. I’ll inform you when you have to stay with Aatish.” Saying this, he too left.
When Rudraksh sat in the car, he saw Aatish ordering the driver to start the car.
Aatish’s deep gaze was still on Aavya as he watched her leave through the window. His mind was racing with thoughts that made him smile like a devil.
Then, near the highway, Aatish suddenly said, “I need that person’s number.”
Rudraksh immediately understood and said, “Until now, you didn’t even want her as your personal bodyguard, and now you want her number? By the way, her name is Aavya Rathore.”
Aatish said emotionlessly, “She has a lot of attitude. She should also realize that crossing Aatish Ahluwalia was not a smart move.”
Soon, they reached the Aluwalia Palace. The palace was massive, with an even bigger front garden. Everywhere there was tight security, armed guards everywhere.
As soon as they got out of the car, Aatish walked inside without a word.
Rudraksh smirked, “Inside, Dad is waiting to welcome you.”
Aatish didn’t say anything and strode into the palace with long, confident steps. Every guard and servant they passed lowered their heads in fear, especially of Aatish, because everyone knew his temper.
As soon as Aatish stepped inside, someone suddenly threw tea on him.
His steps stopped, and his eyes snapped shut.
Rudraksh, standing beside him, also closed his eyes, muttering to himself, “Hope the Mahabharata doesn’t start all over again.”
Aatish wiped his face with his handkerchief and looked coldly ahead to see Mr. Digvijay Aluwalia—Aatish and Rudraksh’s father—standing there.
Angrily, Mr. Digvijay said, “You left the house and now you come back? Why?”
Aatish, with a devilish smile, said, “I did leave, but then I realized—if I’m gone, who’ll raise your BP by making you angry every day? Without me, your life would be so dull and boring.”
Digvijay Ji, truly angry, said, “Rude!” His BP was skyrocketing.
Meanwhile, elsewhere,
Aavya reached her flat.
Srishti, seeing her, happily said, “Aavya, I made paneer for you today. Taste it and tell me if it’s good.” She pulled Aavya to the dining table, forcefully serving her the food.
Aavya looked at the half-burnt food expressionlessly. Then she looked at Srishti, who seemed extremely happy.
She shook her head and took a bite. The food was all salt, yet Aavya silently ate it.
Srishti, overjoyed, asked, “How is it?”
Aavya just shook her head. Srishti was ecstatic.
Then she asked, “Where were you, Aavya?”
Aavya paused. She rarely spoke. Pressing her lips together, she said softly, “Job.”
Srishti was surprised, “What? You got a job? You have enough money to feed the entire country for life.” She immediately realized she had said too much.
Apologizing, she said, “Sorry, forgive me.” She noticed that Aavya didn’t react at all.
Aavya got up and left. Srishti felt very sad.
She whispered to herself, “I wish someone would come into your life too, someone who makes you laugh, teaches you to speak, and shares feelings with you. I know you seem harsh from the outside but are soft inside. People’s words hurt you, but you hide it because you fear they’ll mock your feelings.”
Tears welled up in her eyes, and she sat on the chair.
Meanwhile,
Aatish was smiling shamelessly.
Digvijay Ji’s BP spiked so high that he almost fainted.
Rudraksh quickly caught him.
