Faelen’s POV
I thought we were finished, but it turned out there was more. Raven’s smirk faded as she glanced around, her eyes narrowing.
She turned to face me and spoke in a low whisper. “Alpha Zodd has allies in Steeprock. They helped me sneak here.” She paused, looking at me up and down before she continued. “But you already suspected that, didn’t you?”
I didn’t respond, my throat tightening as the reality of the situation became clearer to me every second.
