"It's time, Albert," I say irritably as I walk embarrassed towards my car, under the curious and mocking gazes of the nurses who are still there watching the spectacle I just put on.
"It's too soon, Loren. I can't have all the evidence now," he says nervously.
Part of him doesn't want to get back at Michael for being his best friend for years and the multiple times he saved his skin. On the other hand, his wounded ego, the humiliation he experienced at that lawyers' party… It makes him hesitate and want to give back what he felt. That's what I need.
"With what you have, even if it's circumstantial evidence. It's time he feels the same humiliation we've lived through. You should have been here, darling, I humiliated myself right outside the hospital," I start to tear up a bit more
