KATIE’s POV:
The piercing and alarming sound of the gunshot echoed through the air. I felt a ringing echo through my ear.
I wasn’t able to feel anything for the longest amount of time, no pain, no despair as my eyes stayed shut.
Was I dead?
I tried to open my eyes and successfully obeyed my command I looked around, my eyes hazy. I felt a surge of Adrenaline course through my veins as I watched in horror as General Aigil’s body slowly slumped to the ground, his eyes opened wide in shock and anger which finally disappeared and were replaced with emptiness.
His dead eyes stared at my fearful one with emptiness but even with that, I could still feel the amount of hate and trauma he had caused to me through the eyes coming out of his bleeding body.
