The humvee sped into our position, skillfully parking in front of us. A few seconds later, a man I recognized as Jace’s beta rushed out of the car, his eyes filled with panic.
“What are you doing here, Derick? Don’t you know I hate to be disturbed here!” Jace’s face was squeezed in annoyance as he stared at the approaching beta.
Derick looked me deep in the eyes, before shifting to Jace. “I’m sorry Alpha. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t urgent”
