I sat back amused as I watched the chaos that had erupted after my question. Did he really think I would ignore the blatant disrespect when it was obvious he had chosen not to honour my presence? Aesir’s officials argued amongst themselves, voices rising over the other. The general in question had growled at my words, but I paid him no mind because if he wasn’t going to respect me, then I had no business acknowledging his existence further.
Still, I couldn’t help but wonder why I had been invited to this meeting. Was it so they could ridicule me? Show me my place or what? Because that seemed to have been their intention. If they needed my input, they wouldn’t have started the meeting without me, nor would they be making conclusions without my approval.
