Chapter 6: Derick Why?

1435 Words
{Scarlet PVO} I awoke in my room with freshly made tea on the side. I loved this omega Samantha, but we call her Sam for short. She knew exactly just the time I would wake up. There on the side chair was Drake. He was sleeping. He had been sneaking into my room and sleeping on the floor at the foot of my bed since Liam brought Lana into the pack house. That is when I asked Sam to bring a comfortable chair into my room and put it next to my bed by the window. I felt sorry for him when he took a blanket and pillow and slept on my floor. I also instructed Sam to put one on the chair. I am sure he knows it is my doing but says nothing. He looked attractive with the sunlight hitting his skin and he looked so at peace sleeping close to me. I made a noise to make it known that I was awake and took a sip of my tea. "Morning little one." "I thought no formalities Drake Good Morning." His name rolled off my tongue like a sing, song sang. His presents were more and more known the closer it got to my eighteenth birthday. It was as if I could start smelling his scent, but day by day it was just getting stronger. Drake's room was on the floor just below Alpha's floor and right next door to Liam. My room, on the other hand, was on the Alpha floor but on the other side of the house, away from Liam and Lana, I still like the two L's, and away from my parents' room, even though we were on the same floor. I watched as Drake got out of his chair. "I will see you for breakfast, Scar." He said with a smile on his face. I smiled back. I think he knows I know he is my mate but just won't say anything until I am eighteen. I take it he will go freshen up in his room. Man, but those lips I longed to kiss them. Scarlet, back to Scarlet, you haven't even received your wolf yet. Eric did not get what he wanted and King Lycan Andrew told him to either go home to the human world or back to his pack. The documents prove Rachel is my mom and it just so happens to be a coincidence. Either way, he was not allowed to come near me. If he was to return to try to claim me as his daughter, he would be executed for not honoring his agreement with the King. I went down for breakfast and lost my appetite very quickly, seeing how Liam and Lana were around each other. They had marked each other but my best friend was not my best friend at the moment and by the end of the year when we graduate they will be getting married. I can't wait for her transformation to be completely completed, then I would at least have some of my best friend back. She has no intension of studying further. She couldn't wait for her dream wedding. "Drake, would you mind taking me to school?" As he walked into the kitchen, but before I could even finish the sentence, he already knew the reason why. "No worries, Scar, we can leave now." I don't even think they noticed us there. I was no longer under the twenty-four hour watch of the guards as the school ensured my safety during school hours. Drake stopped the car and we said goodbye. I got out and headed toward school. I knew his eyes were on me until I walked in the door. Derick caught me off guard and pulled me into the broom closet, locking the door behind him. He began to force himself on me without realizing that I had extra training. Training to be a Lycan. I remembered all that Drake had taught me to defend myself if a man tried to assault me. I managed to get him off me and ran to the nurses station. "Scar get back here." I heard him scream as I continued to run. All I thought was I needed Drake. He was the only one that could calm me now. I don't want my parents, I want him. By the time I got to the nurses' station, I burst into tears. It wasn't long after Drake was there. The nurse must have called him instead of my parents. He looked at me with my top a bit torn and the tears running down my face. He kneeled before me. "Little one, Scar, look at me. Who did this, you tell me now and I will let your father deal with them, as it is not my place to do anything here. If you were at the palace and this had happened I would have that wolf's head!" Drake was angry and knowing it was not his place to say anything, but the power lied with my father. I felt his aura fill the room. The nurse had put a blanket around me, when none other than Derick walked into the nurses' station with a black eye, a bloody nose and walking just a bit funny. I giggled a little, knowing what I had done to him. The nurse ran towards him. "Oh goodness, child, who did this to you?" He looked at me and didn't even notice that Drake was in the room. "She did, Miss Walker. She attacked me for no reason, no reason at all." That was his answer to the nurse? The morality of this boy. Just then, Drake growled and grabbed him. "If I ever see you near my mate again, I will have your head!" Startled and realizing that Drake was in the room, "She is your mate! She isn't even eighteen yet and you are claiming to be her mate!" I noticed Derick's eyes were a bit glazed over. I could see the anger in Drake as his eyes went from the beautiful hazel green to dark black eyes. "Drake, put the boy down, please your majesty." I heard the nurse beg Drake. He looked at me, automatically becoming calmer and put Derick down. "There are many things you don't understand about Lycans and you will never get out of here before I put you in the hospital." I was shocked, to say the least, at his words. I already knew in my heart that Drake was my mate and, plus from the conversation I had with Siandra, I knew this already. "You don't have to look so shocked, Scar. But how?" I looked at his hazel green eyes, knowing it was Drake and not his wolf. "That is because I already know." We left the nurse's office to the main office as Drake signed me out for the day. Thereafter, we walked to the car. "No lessons with Siandra or myself today. When we get back to the Pack House, go upstairs and clean up and not say a word to your parents. Bring me those clothes that I can burn it. I do not want that mutt's scent on you ever again, understand?" I looked at Drake and nodded my head as I understood that Derick is just a kid and there could be serious repercussions for his actions today. I walked in to find Derick's parents already waiting in the foyer. Drake motioned for me to continue up to my room, which I did as I was told. I got to know Drake and being kind, but also hard when it came to training. I could see he smirked in the car on the way home, how I managed to beat up a boy that had his wolf and I hadn't even got mine yet. I got into my room, closed the door, threw my school bag down, got out of the torn clothing and into the shower. I wondered what would happen now that Derick's parents were already at the Pack house. They were scared their child would be killed for his actions. I don't know what I feel. This whole ordeal with Eric being around wanting to take me away from my home and Derick forcing himself onto me before I hadn't even turned eighteen was too much. I was tired. I got out of the shower dressed in my night clothes, which were a Matalica T-shirt and boxer shorts. My head hit the pillow and it wasn't long before I fell off to sleep.
