"Welcome to gym class pups."
{Scarlet PVO}
I hated gym.
It was annoying, not that I couldn't keep up but because of a boy in class, Derick, who had to be the show off and do everything better than me.
"Hey princess, Scarlet earth to Scarlet."
Yeah, that's my name, Scarlet Black.
"What do you want now, Derick?"
Rolling my eyes as I knew it would be some type of thing he would want to show off.
But, before I could blink, he turned into his wolf.
Bigish brown wolf.
Oh goodness, really now he has just turned eighteen and still has to be a childish show off.
He turned back to his normal self and asked me what I thought?
"Seriously, Derick, you have just turned eighteen and you are still just as egoistic as before."
I rolled my eyes sarcastically.
"Don't you want to know what my wolf's name is?"
Trying to annoy me further, as he has his wolf and I don't.
"Fine, what is it?"
I decided to take the bate but, decided to tease a little.
"Let me guess Brown cupcake."
Trying to keep a straight face without laughing.
"Really, now that, cut deep Scarlet, his name is Masimo as he is Mas-se-mo."
Showing off his muscles as he was saying this.
Goddess please save me.
I just rolled my eyes at him and walked away towards my best friend Lana.
"There you are."
She said to me as I approached her.
"Hey Lana."
She turns eighteen tomorrow getting her wolf and will find her mate.
I am happy for her but, in a way, a little disappointed.
Being of Alpha blood, we sometimes get our wolves at the age of sixteen or seventeen, but it looks like the moon goddess is making me wait until I turn eighteen.
Whereas my birthday is only in April and it is still January, we have just started going back to school.
"Thank you for saving me. I don't know what I would do without you."
I said to her, smiling as if she had just rescued me from Derick's annoying chat.
"That is what best friends are for."
She smiled back at me.
Just then the bell rang and I was so glad Gym was the last lesson for the day.
Thank you goddess.
We walked out of school and, as usual, the black convertible was waiting outside for me.
"Miss Black."
The driver, James, stopped and got out to open the door for me.
Dad and being so protective of me.
"Lana, do you need a lift?"
I was now facing her.
"No need Scar. I am good my mom is here. Enjoy your extra lessons."
Ah, my extra lessons have to be prepared as a Luna or a princess or a queen.
We have to be prepared as we never know who my mate will be.
She waved her eyebrows at me, knowing that I did sort of have a crush on my personal trainer, Prince Drake.
But, it was just a crush, right?
"Whatever Lana, enjoy your day too."
I started getting into the car.
"Bye Scar."
She said over her shoulder, heading towards her mom.
"Bye Lana."
I stuck out my tongue at her as she got into her mother's car.
I turned to see Siandra was in the car.
"Hi Scarlet"
She greeted me.
"Siandra, it is so lovely to see you again!"
I jumped and gave her a big hug, almost pushing her out the other end.
I have lessons with Siandra as, unlike my other wolf companions, I have a talent for magic. She is teaching me to control my powers and not to be afraid of them.
"Ready for your lessons?"
Siandra asked me.
I really enjoyed spending time with her.
Unlike my parents, the Alpha Michael and the Luna Rachel, she told me the truth about my real parents and that my parents are in fact my aunt and uncle.
She told me about how my parents exiled them outside of their packs, no thanks to Grandpa Joe.
She told me that they had lived in the human world and that my parents died to protect me.
Funny enough, Grandma Bella has also told me the truth but differently.
She said that my dad, Eric, betrayed my mom, Amelia, and she had died to protect me from him.
Grandma also said that my mom had the power and it is only passed down to the females of our bloodline.
I didn't tell the Alpha and the Luna, plus she wouldn't tell them that she told me the truth, because then the Lycan King and Queen would have a trial for her and snap her neck for sharing this information with me.
She told me these things to protect me, that I would fully understand why I was never allowed into the human world when the other children went and that I understood what type of danger I was in.
There has been peace in the human world for sometime but, still they will not allow me to go.
She shared all of this with me when I was sixteen.
"Yes, I am ready for our lesson today."
I responded with full enthusiasm.
We drove to White Witch village where we went to her home.
She had lost her mom two years ago when they were protecting a portal.
They had to close it permanently due to humans almost coming through.
The humans that killed my mother have not stopped looking for me.
Plus, after lessons with Siandra, I have extra gym lessons with the Lycan prince Drake.
That was the highlight of the day.
I never understood why but it was..., I enjoyed myself and wanted to spend my time with him.
I liked to check him out and he was none the wiser.
I do pay attention, trust me, I do as I understand the dangers I am in, especially knowing that my so-called dad, Eric, is looking for me.
Siandra rearranged the house after Lorraine died but I could see it was eating her up inside.
"Would you like a cup of tea, Scarlet?"
She asked as we entered her home.
"Yes please."
I answered her quickly because I knew as soon as she said tea I knew we were taking a break today and we would just be talking.
Bringing tea towards me and placing it on the coffee table in front of me, she sat in the chair opposite to me.
"Scarlet, there is another thing I need to tell you."
Okay, now what more could there be that she needed to tell me?
I thought her and grandma had told me all I needed to know.
"What is it, Siandra?"
I asked now nerves of what her answer would be.
"Since your eighteenth birthday is approaching in a couple of months, your Grandma Bella has asked me to give you this information."
Really? My grandma asked her to tell me this.
Why does grandma not tell me herself?
Just as she started talking, I took a sip of my tea, the driver, James, walked in.
"Miss, I am sorry but Alpha has just mindlinked me and has requested you to come home immediately."
Thanks to Siandra, we have managed to make some private mindlinks and ones that the pack was able to listen into.
She said it is nice to link conversation with each other without worrying that someone in the pack could be listening to the conversation.
"Seriously, since when does my dad want me home so urgently? I am sorry, Siandra, maybe we can pick up this conversation tomorrow after school."
Just when I knew it was something important that she wanted to share with me.
"No problem, I will see you tomorrow then."
She smiled and we said goodbye to one another.
I left with James and went back to the Pack House, my home.
When we got home, my dad was already waiting for me and opened the car door.
Oh boy, I really hope I am not in trouble.
"Scarlet, please come to my office immediately."
I followed my father to his office and he asked for me to sit.
I had seen the two Lycan princes in my father's office as well, Drake and Liam.
They had real worried looks on their faces and I didn't understand the reason at all.
My father spoke to break the silence.
"Scarlet, I understand that Grandma Bella and Siandra have told you the truth about your real parents."
Shit, how did dad know I knew?
Is this the reason he had called me into his office?
I really hope Siandra and grandma are not in trouble.
He continued.
"Your real father, Eric, has come to our attention. He knows you are here. He does not believe us when we say you are our daughter as you look almost like your mother. He had plotted from day one when he met your mother Amelia to destroy the Red Moon Pack, a secret plan that the White Moon Pack had been, planning in sight that, under the Lycan King Andrew and Queen Alisa, we, have made peace."
My dad, giving me something to think about.
"But, how? As far as everyone else knows, including Alpha Jackson and Luna Jannet, I am your daughter."
He looked at me.
"Eric does not believe it as you share the same birthday and name of his late daughter and you are under our care."
My dad is right.
This man is smart.
"So what are you trying to tell me daddy?"
"You are not safe anymore. You will be finishing this year at school but you will have an armed guard with you at all times. Sometimes maybe one of our wolves from our pack, the other times it may be a Lycan. This is very serious, Scarlet, as he has sent a threatening letter that he is going to take you to the human world claiming you as his daughter."
I looked at my dad, ignoring the fact that the princes were in the room as well.
"But daddy, the letter your sister gave you makes me yours and mom's pup."
"Unfortunately, Eric does not believe the documentation that your grandpa made and wants to fight for you in court in front of the elders."
With a heavy heart, my father noticed I did not refer to Eric and Amelia as my parents, but I referred to him and Rachel as my parents.
He smiled at me, trying to hide the fear in his face.
"Don't worry, I am sure it will not lead to that. You are our daughter and we have documents to back it up, and when does an Alpha's daughter have two princes looking after her?"
I sat back in the chair trying to comprehend what my father was telling me.
My dad looks at me knowing he had just given me a lot to process.
"Drake and Liam are here to ensure that the truth is given to the Lycan King Andrew and Queen Alisa."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing about Eric.
This was supposed to be my biological dad and that my Grandpa Joe was right about him.
"Grandpa Joe was right not to trust him."
Were the only words that came out of my mouth.
"Your mom, I mean my sister Amelia, also grew not to trust him. That is why she sent you to us, my dear."
My dad's words had pain in them that he truly missed his sister.
"Prince Drake will be with you after your eighteenth birthday to personally see that you are protected by all means."
I didn't understand, not that I minded he was very handsome and never mind what was going on, that my dad's statement that Drake would be there to protect me after my eighteenth birthday did not make any sense.
None of them did what he said with regards to Drake.
I will have to ask Siandra tomorrow.
