Ashton’s POV:
I sat her on the counter of my bathroom after I carried her here, much to her complaints, and pulled up her sleeve. It was covered in thin and long cut marks, each in rows like they were meant to be there. There were other scars shaped like her scars, so I figured she had done this before. I got gauze from below the sink and a wet towel, pressing it lightly to her small wrists. She tensed and I wanted to recoil away from her for hurting her but I knew she needed healing.
And so, I carried on in helping her.
I looked up at her and she was looking away from me and her scars, down at the counter beside her. She was so beautiful, and Jackie told me that everyone bashed her, but the only reason they did was because her stepsisters spread rumors about her being a curse
