Chapter Twenty-Nine
Annie, Grace, and the other agents who participated in the arrest of Ramon Gutierrez were waiting for them when the raid team returned to the office.
Both the FBI and DEA directors were in attendance, as well, and made it a point to shake the hand of every task force member.
“Debrief in the conference room in ten minutes,” the FBI director announced, then continued, “and, good work, people. Very well done.”
Once the debrief completed, the FBI director turned to Nathan.
“A word, please,” he said.
“Sure. One moment, sir,” Nathan answered, and said to the group, “Everyone hang tight for just a moment, we have one more thing to line out. I will be right back.”
Then he followed his boss out of the conference room and down the hall to the director’s office.
