Chapter Seventeen
Faith was parked at the curb and waiting for them by the time Lizzie and Donny got home.
She immediately got out of her vehicle, walked to the passenger side of Donny’s SUV, and opened the door to scoop Lizzie up in a fierce hug the moment Lizzie stepped out of the car.
“I’m so sorry, sweetheart,” she murmured as Lizzie clung to her. “And Rick said to tell you he loves you and he’s thinking of you.”
After a long embrace Lizzie stepped back.
